2nd park day - Sun Oct 7th
Animal Kingdom - didnt quite make it to rope drop this day but soon after.
Got fastpass for safari before we walked the Pangani trail. Got cinnamon buns at the bakery in Africa.
Then on to the Festival of the Lion King show in Camp Minnie-Mickey. This was a beautiful show. (Stilt walkers, acrobats, etc.) I peeked in at the character greetings lines before the show. My 9yr son thought he was too cool for the pics/autographs.
Then to Dinoland. Went on the dinosaur ride once. We thought that was enough. We didnt use our fastpasses to go back a second time. Son played in Boneyard. Found the pressed pennies. (Sons book is full between Disney and Sea World.) Had lunch at Restaurantsaurus.
Then to Discovery Island and Its tough to be a bug. Then walked around the tree and found the discovery island trails.
We then walked over to Asia and went through the Maharajah Jungle Trek and saw the tigers and bats.
Stayed for 3pm parade - one of the better Disney parades IMHO. Even my husband who doesnt like parades watched this one.
Before we left AK we went on the Rapids ride. Got quite wet. Glad we left this ride for the end.
Returned to Wilderness Lodge for swim and drinks.
This was our Hoop de Doo 930 pm show night. Good show. We had center table right in front of the stage. Husband and I had to dance because we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. Bought the picture and magnet. The picture package comes with 1 8x10 pic and 2 magnets. MIL had an extra 8x10 added to the package so we each have 1 8x10 and 1 magnet. Thanks Eunice. This was our latest night. It was after 12 by the time we were in bed.
