::sniff sniff sniff:: "Now it's time, to say goodbye, to all our com-pa-neeyyyy.."
We got up in the morning, knowing that this was our last few hours with each other. The time went by SO quickly!! I guess that was because we'd been planning this for such a long time, and really looking forward to it so very much! We're scattered all over the country, and with everyone having different schedules and such, it isn't as if we can pop on a plane any old time and visit one another. We've gotten to know each other extremely well over the last several years, and truly feel as if we're 'family' - maybe better, because we chose to create a relationship with each other, not forced into it as families sometimes are! LOL
Anyway, because of the Platinum Starwood status, we were able to have a 4 pm checkout, which *is* a great perk! All of our bags were packed anyway, but it was nice to be able to just leave them in the room and go .. and be able to come back later if need be.
After grabbing one last cup of coffee, and saying goodbye to Mama T, we headed over to Epcot, Norway, for our breakfast. When we finished, we had a few things to buy before going, so we hit various countries, picking up what we needed. As Dave, Julie and I were walking around Morocco, the little gift stand outside, I noticed a CD by "Morockin'" (sp?) - the band that plays there. I love that music, but never saw a CD before. As I was paying for it, I asked the CM at the counter how long it had been out .. and he said "about 2 years now"!! LOL *How* I missed this before, as many times as I've been by there, I don't know! But, I was glad to get it nevertheless!
We met back up with Debbie and looked through France once more - I needed to stop and get something at the Guerlain makeup area, and Julie was looking for some stuff too.
*Then* it really was time to part ways. The girlies had an earlier flight than we did, and needed to get back to the hotel to catch their car service to the airport.
Lots of hugs and kisses all around, with promises of meeting up again, be it in Iowa, TX, MD, or WDW!! soon.
When the girlies left, Dave and I walked up towards Future World again, and did a look-see through Mouse Gears. I don't think we really bought anything though - maybe we didn't feel well???? LOL We did stop by Ice Station Cool again to get a couple little things for Ev we'd seen the other day.
As we were going back through World Showcase, and walking towards England, we started to get hungry, and when I saw Rose & Crown, I realized it'd been a while since we ate there, so we stopped to see if there was availability for lunch, and there was!
After lunch, it was time for us to head back towards the hotel too. We stopped and browsed in the store on the Boardwalk, and *then* got back to the Swan. The bellman came immediately and the limo was there shortly thereafter, and we were on the way to the airport once more... sad to be leaving, but happy that we'll be back in a few weeks!
