Well, here are my "final thoughts" about the whole trip in general, and I'll do this for both the GF & AKL as well.

* The weather - it seemed far hotter & more humid this year to me. I'm used to FL in July, have been visiting at this time of year practically my entire life, but boy .. there were days when it was almost unbearable!! where you would walk around just feeling slimey and yuck! LOL (sounds so inviting huh? <g>) However ..yep, I'd go again in July! LOLOL I love being here for my birthday, as does Evan for his .. so to me, it's worth it. Besides, I usually get other trips during the year, when it's NOT so bad weatherwise .. and hey, bad weather in WDW is better than bad weather at home! LOL

* The crowds were generally the same as in years past, kind of averaging out - meaning that some days, yes, it was mobbed! Then other days, you could walk without being elbowed to death.

* I personally think that the FP being installed at some attractions throughout the various parks has "messed up" the ride, such as at Peter Pan, HM and a few others. Then you have things like the speedway at the MK, that could really use FP because it's ALWAYS been a long wait .. and it's NOT been installed there! Now .. what sense does that make??? LOL

* I HOPE they don't take away the launch service from the MK to the GF & Poly. I find that so very convenient and a nice way to travel between the park & resort.

All in all it was a good trip. However, being with family members 24/7 for such a long, long time CAN be grating on the nerves!! LOL and was! That's why I am looking forward to the next trip, in early November, to the F&W Festival .. I'm going WITHOUT them!! LOL It's just nice to get some "space" and time to do what you want, without having to 'consult' people, set up times to meet, etc etc etc!LOL

You have some great thoughts. I understand about being with family members for an extended time... but most important is that you had fun.

Thanks for taking the time to report.

I went to WDW in Nov with my family (family reunion), in April with DH (anniversary) and next month--ALONE!!!!!

.. and I bet you're looking forward to that ALONE trip too, aren't you? LOL
:p

Thanks for the reports. You certainly remembered lots of interesting details!

It was neat to hear about the things you were entitled to because of the Grand Plan & the restaurant reviews were nice to see in separate posts as well. DH & I both said when we finished reading that it was interesting to see how "the other half" lives-lol! No offense!
We just could never afford to take a trip costing that much, so it was nice to read about it!

Thanks again :)

I've read your entire trip report and really enjoyed it. We're staying at the AKL in 9 days, and we can't wait. From your report, it sounds wonderful. Your reports sounded more elegant than most. (ours will sound like the beverly hillbillies take wdw). Thank you for sharing your trip.

Thanks for posting your final thoughts. Sounds like everyone had a great time!

I printed out your trip reports and read them while camping this weekend. Enjoyed them very much! Thank you!
