(just a note that my dining report(s) and hotel notes will be in 'dining' and 'resorts', and I'll do those shortly!)
When we got up, it was to the POURING rain! Not just a sprinkle, but a really intense downpour. I actually didn't mind that much though - I was just glad to be here, have all my Christmas stuff done, and be relaxing, looking out from my windows and balcony at the Grand and beyond
Considering the weather, we all agreed to just stay in 'til 9 and relax before heading out. Thankfully, it didn't last too long, and soon, we were hearing one of our collective favorite sounds -'please stand clear of the doors'.... LOL
Entering the MK, the lines to go through security were practically non-existant! And once inside, that same thing held true. We literally walked right on to every ride in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland! I couldn't believe it, especially since this was after 10 a.m.!!
After gulping down a snack at Cosmic Rays, as we stepped back outside, we could see that the park was starting to get a *bit* more crowded, but still, not too bad. Got some FP's for BL, and did a little shopping. To be honest, we didn't really buy that much on this trip at all - we'd bought *so* much on the last trip that there wasn't a whole lot left I wanted right now! When we got finished with Buzz (where I lost miserably! LOL) we walked on to Space Mt. Great ride as always, except that as we were getting off, and were on the moving walkway, Dave realized he had lost his NEW cell phone on the ride! Ugh! We had them check around, reported it to the proper places/people, and there wasn't anything else we could do right then. Took a leisurely ride on TTA, and then decided to head over to the Plaza restaurant for lunch.
Once finished with lunch, we headed over to BTMRR, though skipped Splash - it was too chilly to ride that for me! LOL HM didn't have much of a wait, so before heading out, we did that. We checked City Hall for the phone again (that's what we'd been told to do) but no luck, and then headed back to the Grand for a bit of rest before dinner.
We caught the monorail around to the MK from the Grand, and the boat to the WL from the MK. We'd *just* missed the boat though, so for once, *we* were actually the late ones! LOL
We still made it in time for our Artist Point PS.After a long dinner, we really had to hustle to get to the MVMCP! LOL We caught the boat back to the MK and proceeded into the park. Just as we were walking in, Debbie looked down at her cell phone and saw that she'd missed a call - from Nancy!!! We were *so* excited that she'd called since it had been so long since we heard from her!! LOL We spent quite a while talking to her, and it was wonderful. It was the kind of thing that *should* happen at Christmas - reconnecting with an old dear friend, as you're walking, pleasantly 'full' <g>, into the Magic Kingdom - can't get much better than that!!!
We enjoyed the MVMCP as always, though in retrospect, I kind of wish we'd gone somewhere closer for dinner, as that took time away. But, no biggie - there'll be plenty more to enjoy, I hope!
Dave, Ev and I left .. I guess around 11:30 or so, and headed back to the Grand to hit the hay - it had been a long day and we were beat!
