IMAX near Disney with assigned seating?

I have been to several different Imax theaters and I have never been to one that had assigned seating. That's a new concept to me.

Regal Pointe Orlando on International Drive by the convention center has an IMAX,I don't know anything about assigned seating.

Maybe assigned seating IMAX is a Canadian thing, there are several where we live and it's the only way to see a movie!

The Imax at Pointe Orlando is definitely the best Imax in Orlando, but the tickets are $18 each. I saw no need for assigned seating the times we went there.

The assigned seating option is a new thing done in certain regional theaters, not to be confused with Reserved seating, which just guarantees you a seat somewhere in the theater.

Its not an Imax but the AMC in Downtown Disney has screens that are "Fork & Screen". They serve dinner and drinks during the movie. These are reserved (assigned seats). Last year we saw the Men in Black on opening weekend. We were able to pick our seats when we bought our tickets. This was the first time we had ever seen a movie at the Fork & Screen. We LOVED it. This was by far the nicest theater we have ever been to. Look at their website, it will give you a better idea what Im trying to describe. I was skeptical at first but we cant wait to go back. We arrive on May 22nd. We might go see Star Trek while there (if we can wait till then).
