Imagineering ImagiNations Design Competition

Hi everyone!

I am a Graphic Design major from University of Central Oklahoma and planning on entering the Walt Disney Imagineering ImagiNations Design Competition next year.

I'd love to know of anyone that has competed before or know someone that has entered. I would like to get in contact with them and talk with them about the experience and how they did.

I regularly listen to a podcast called "Inside the Magic". The guy who does the show did the Imaginations contest and was one of the finalists. He has a write up about it here:

He also devoted a show or two to it a year or more ago. You can search around on the site and download those shows to learn more.

He pretty much puts it all out there. If you are inclined to ask him more questions, be sure to look over his pages devoted to it and listen to his shows first.

i am graduating this June, and heading down to Florida for a cp in hospitality, but looks like i will have to wait til graduate school to apply. i would love to do this but my school in Washington does not have the best department for graphic design. my major is in visual communication design. but what are the prizes or overall result from the experience? I'm guess free flight/tickets to park...anything else?
