According to WDW Trivia Book there was a monorail red put up by Disney Auctions on ebay on 5/27/02, selling on 6/6/02 for a price of $20,000 plus shipping. It went to Chip Young of Georgia. It was a single pilot car.

I wonder if this one is it? If so, the reserve should be at least what he paid for it with his shipping costs. Just a guess.

Yeah, that makes sense. I would bet this one goes for a lot more than $20,000! That doesn't seen like a lot to me for what it is?!?!?! I wonder what the shipping is! LOL! Or maybe they just drive it..can you imagine driving down the highway and seeing a monorail pass you by!? LOL!!

So has anyone e-mailed the seller to get an estimated shipping charge?

Since it weighs in at 30,000 lbs and you have to have a crane to lift it on and off the truck, I'm guessing it won't be cheap.

We could put it in the backyard - you think the HOA would mind?

If this is indeed the monorail I mentioned in my earlier post on this thread that was sold for 20,000 they are making a nice profit for owning it for only two years... WOW!!!
