I'm considering adding this option to my 8-day MDE package but (being a very experience amateur photographer) have a few questions:

1) What bodies/lenses do they use at WDW? My standard is a Canon 5D with a 24-70L lens (or Nikon equivalent).

2) How would you rate the image quality (color, detail, composition, etc) of your photos?

3) When you download the images, what resolution are they? For prints I use a minimum of 300 DPI for all my images so for a 4x6 print I would need 1200x1800 pixels. Anything less than that and it wouldn't be worth it for me to print.

4) What format are the videos in and do you get the complete unedited raw footage source file(s)? What attractions offer videos since I've never seen one (our last trip was in 2011).

From the exif data on my photo pass photos - It's a NIKON D7100 camer. I have no idea what the lens was. The photos are 300 dpi 4000 x 6000. I was more than happy with the photos.

The ride videos (I only have one from the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train) is .mp4. It's about a 40 second video and mixes stock video of the ride with short clips from when you ride it. Of the 40 seconds, approximately 12 second of it are from when you ride (2 approximately 6 second shots of the cars going by in two different spots).

Will I have the ability to enhance (if necessary), resize (as needed) and print them as I see fit? Do the (I'm assuming JPEGs) have watermarks?

You receive a limited license agreement which provides you with the non commercial rights to your photos. You can do what you like with them. The joeys do not have a watermark and generally are fine to print up to 16X20. The prints from the web site are all 300 dpi so you shouldn't have any trouble on that front. your photos

You download the photos, so you can do whatever tinkering you want once you have them.

I usually find I don't need to do much enhancing (they do a good job with light, generally) but I do crop most of the photos, either to get closer or to fix the composition. I find that they tend to leave a little too much room around the subjects for my taste - maybe so there is room for borders and other add-ons.

Wondering if anyone here has a MM album or just a few photos that they don't mind sharing. Just want to see what I should expect for $160.

I can't help you with some of the technical stuff but there were some really great benefits to MM I'd like to chime in with.

1) I now have teen age girls and getting them to stop what they are doing and pose for a picture was "embarrassing" but if it were a photographer it wasn't as bad. They understood the "I paid for this so your doing it." No arguing or bickering.

2) It was also much, much quicker. The photographers were standing all set up and most times, especially in the AM, it was very easy to walk up, snap some shots and go. I only ever had one family in front of me most times. The photographer had probably taken hundred's of shot in the same spot so it was "click, click' and on with the day.

3) I wasn't worried about losing my camera or pictures. They would show up on MDE no problem.

4) The automatic ride photo's were priceless. I've only ever bought one in my life so to have all of them there was awesome.

5) I purchased the CD and it came with beautiful stock pictures of WDW so when I made my album on shutterfly my DD's are on the cover in front of the castle but the background is a faded out stock photo of the castle. Really beautiful from my not so talented hands.

If you check out the Trip Report link in my signature, there are lots of Memory Maker photos in there!

I think it was totally worth it. We used Shutterfly afterwards to make an awesome photo book of our trip.

I think it was great because while we got some nice pictures with our iPhone, we didn't have to carry around a camera and the photos they took were of great quality. I think it was a good buy, we have over 200 great photos now!
