I'm.........

Thanks Nancy!

I'm back after several hours at Urgent Care with a splint on my left hand (my writing hand). Now I have to see a hand surgeon for a displaced fourth metacarpal fracture. Such fun!

Going to bed now.

Oh ouch! How did you do that? I will keep you in prayer.

Thanks Bobbi! Still waiting to hear about a hand surgeon appointment. Out here, you don't usually contact radiologists, specialists etc. on your own. Basically your primary or a referring physician or office initiates the contact. Not a big deal since I know that surgeons won't cast, operate etc. until the swelling goes down.

I'm bored!

My hand hurts but it's definitely bearable.

How many doggies are coming? types? how long for?

One is a pomeranian, and not sure what the other is. I have been babysitting them for years.
They will be here till monday.

Sorry to hear about the injury, Kathy.

DS sees the surgeon today to see if he needs surgery on his knee :(

I'm back! Had a great time....it was too humid with the heat for me though. Tired and a lot to do .....at least until Thursday

I hope the surgeon goes well for your DS. Vacation can be exhausting at times.

We added a new doggie for us, she about 1 1/2 years old. Not exactly sure what she is. She is small. We named her Lucy Lou...

Congrats on the new family addition :dog:

Did you see us sail away? We were delayed a bit

I'm looking forward to seeing my best friend within a couple of weeks! It's already been a year since we saw each other. I can't wait. :sunny:

Nancy - How did DS's appointment go? How was your trip?

Jo - Pictures, pictures, pictures please!

My fracture is still displaced quite a bit but thankfully, does not require surgery. Here is my newest accessory; in fashionable black and already itching and rubbing a bit. I just ordered a cast shower cover and now have to find some white (or black) foam adhesive for the palm side which is bothering me.

And thankfully, DH is finally feeling better. Two days after I broke my hand, he came down with a respiratory virus and is now on antibiotics. Poor DS had to take care of us both the past few days!

I will try to get a picture of her, my computer is not doing very well with pictures to get uploaded. I need to get it fixed. I am so glad you don't need surgery.

Glad for no surgery, Kathy............sorry for the cast. DH broke his wrist a couple years ago and got a red cast.

DS got advice. They want to wait another month and then see how it is going. Most likely he will need surgery and an immobilizing cast for a month or so. And then physical therapy for quite awhile His insurance coverage for PT is about gone for this year so he will probably wait until next year......and he has a vacation in Dec.
He had always wanted to wait until after pool season since he is in the pool a lot with DGD.
I guess he will have to work around my schedule and DH's too since someone will have to drive him.

Cruise was great. Too humid, but other than that very nice. Can't wait for the next one.
It is nice to hang around with DD for that long.
I will get to pictures soon hopefully. Been super busy since getting back. Still a lot to get done.
Thursday should be calm again.....and more so since the other 4 family members are going on vacation.

Glad your cruise was enjoyable with DD; keeping relationships strong with family is so important!

DS's situation sounds very typical for joint(?) issues; can't count the number of times over the years that I did that for problems that ended in surgery. It's great that you and DH will be able to help him when needed.

And I thought about red for my cast! But their red was more a rusty orange so I passed on it :upsidedow .
