Appraiser here and gone and will issue report within a week.
And possible good news today! Our realtor says that the buyers, the FHA and the appraiser have had the inspection report for more than a week and not raised any concerns about non-permitted work. He says that people usually object to something in the inspection report almost immediately. Legally, he said that buyers can simply buy the house as is if they want to and our buyers are extremely eager to buy it since it is across the street from the wife's grandparents.
I'm thinking we really lucked out when the first buyer panicked/cancelled and we got to sell it to this family.
Still crossing my fingers though....! We have the well and septic tank inspection next week.
