Grocery shopping to do this morning, then unpacking and laundry and already babysitting DGD this afternoon for a couple of hours.
My birthday party is Saturday with the family

I’m so glad that I did a lot more cleaning yesterday and didn’t break anything. The refrigerator that I broke is still running, but who knows for how long, so we’re ordering a new one this weekend. I‘m still so annoyed with myself

It happens. Our dishwasher stopped working, so going to decide on one of those today

I'm decked out in our elementary school sweatshirt and colors. Our coed basketball team plays for the district championship tomorrow and I have several students on the team. Very excited!

Our microwave is very unreliable. It’s 4 years old, has been serviced once and still must be coaxed. Our handyman has a shoulder problem. When he’s better, we will be buying a new one.

I’m about ready to go workout and then continue on with my January deep cleaning.
Tonight we are meeting DD23 and my grandson for dinner. We haven’t seen them since before Thanksgiving. I’m actually surprised she’s coming. When I invited her I expected her to decline with a weak excuse because her husband wouldn’t allow her to come. It will be nice and sad to see them. Nice because my DGS is now 10 months old and sad because he has no idea who we are. At least we get to see them both tonight and then who knows when we’ll see them again.

I'm torn over insisting our son accompanies us on our family vacation or letting him stay home alone (he's 37). I feel he's so isolated already because he leads the life of a night creature and is always asleep during most of the time everyone else is awake. He got in to a text confrontation with our eldest and now wants nothing to do with her.

Our Sabercats did it! Our basketball team won by 18 pts. and they are now district (Elementary) champs! We're a very large district - this is big news for a small school and for a team of 10 and 11 year olds. Very, very proud of them!

I’m looking out my window and seeing snow and it’s still falling at a steady pace. I’m glad I’m staying in today and continuing my January wall cleaning ritual. Yesterday was my bedroom and today is my family room and the master bathroom. I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel - I’m almost done with all this - the goal every year is to be done by the end of January

You've inspired me to do some January cleaning of my own! I started a few days ago with the wooden doors in the kitchen, and moved on this morning to cabinets (one section at a time.)
