@Meriweather - love the pictures!

I’m trying a new dentist today because mine is retiring soon. I’m the guinea pig to see how he is before DH and DD go.

Good luck. DH switched dentists a few months ago. He really likes him. He is DD's and she highly recommended him.
I have a dentist appt. tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.
Today is grocery shopping day, movie day and more wrapping. We did get DGS's and DIL's done yesterday. We move on to DS's today

I’m very happy with my first visit to the new dentist. He told me I need 2 crowns (which I knew was around the corner) because I’ve worn my teeth done dreadfully due to grinding (which I knew). So, I’m doing tooth #1 in January and tooth #2 in February or March. I also need to have mouth guard made (which I’ve been putting off for years) and start using that when I go to sleep. Sucks! That’s all I can say - LOL!

Tonight, at the HS, during halftime of the basketball game, Katie and her softball team are being presented and given their State ring for playing in the state game in June. Very exciting for these young ladies!

I’m debating if I want to come home tonight and make another batch of peanut balls. I’ve been making balls the last 3 nights - two nights Oreo and one night peanut butter. Do I want to start this at 8:30pm? Not really, but it has to get done so I can concentrate on cookies this weekend. Decisions, decisions….

Crowns.....yep. They don't last forever.
I grind my teeth too. I had one guard made by the dentist.......it was expensive and we don't have dental insurance, so when that one wore out, I just got the mouth guards you trim and mold yourself. Been using that for about 2 years and they work find. I'm on number 2.

DS's dentist suggested a mouth guard (just the over the counter one) too, as he grinds his teeth a bit when he sleeps, but so far he's resisting the idea.

My appointment went OK - full routine X-rays, which is rather a pain, but I like my hygienist and it was nice to catch up. I have one tiny cavity (appointment made for an easy fill) but nothing serious right now.

This is good to know and I may try this before the custom one.
My dental insurance also doesn’t cover it and they quoted me $311.
Something for me to think about :scratchin

I still have to deal with my broken tooth. After the holidays and my birthday cruise. Appointment is Jan 11.

I‘ve had to deal with this in the past.
I hope you don’t have any pain or bad sensitivity.

I’m gearing up for a busy Saturday.
I’ll be leaving soon for work
Then DH and I are going for our annual gift card run - he drives, drops me off at the door for me to get the GC, I jump back in the car and we go to the next place. We’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember - it’s kinda fun. We’ll stop for lunch too - probably McAllister’s.
Then I’ll come home and bake 3 batches of cookies
Then I’ll go to 5:00 Mass
Then I’ll be done

Enjoy your Saturday everyone!

Busy day here too. Yesterday was too. I made fudge. 2 batchs of spiders/haystacks, buttercream frosting, colored frosting for cookies.
Today is family lunch day......I need to clean the bathroom, wipe all the counters in the kitchen, ,mop the floor, set up and prep for lunch.
They're doing the cut out cookies today. Cutting and baking before lunch and decorating after.
We have orange and red velvet dough.
Then when they leave, I get to clean all over

I’m having my 2nd cup of coffee and then gonna start baking again. I want to be done with cookies by dinner time. Then all I have is brownies that I’m decorating as Christmas trees, but I’ll do that on Thursday or Friday morning (this is for Katie’s BF because I know he won’t eat the apple pie Katie requested for Christmas Eve dessert).

I just made peppermint bark. Going to bake GF chocolate cookies for DD. Then just the kids doing the last of the baking for Christmas during Wednesday's baking day.
The cookie decorating went well. DGS just wanted to put blue icing on and then pile as many M&Ms as he could :rotfl:
Upstairs cleaning today and laundry.

just watched Sunday morning CBS....Jane had a great show and I learned so much about Christmas today that I hope to not miss next year....and one that I learned is the Polar Express is not about the story, but the music...Josh brought me to tears....it was the music that made me pilgrimage to the Harkins Tuesday night specials in December to watch Polar express on the big screen....next year.
