I used to plant a large vegetable garden - it was relaxing and rewarding.
When DDs softball schedule went from busy to crazy busy, and we were gone more than we were home, I decided to not have the garden anymore. Someday I will start it up again.
What vegetables do you plant?

I plant cucumber and zucchini seeds.
Asparagus is a perennial, and this is my second season of picking.

DSis plants herbs in pots.

The vegetable garden is at DSis house, two doors away.

At our house I have a very small patch of strawberries and a brown Turkey fig bush.

I plant sunflower seeds and moonflower seed. Moon flowers are special, the flowers only open at dusk and only live one night.

Sunflowers last year. I am 5’10”

It’s related to morning glory.

We have a plant here called Queen of the Night (I don't have one).

The epiphyllum oxypetalum, which is also called the “Queen of the Night” cactus, is a perennial that can grow to be up to 10 feet tall.
These plants are unique because they bloom for one night, and they fill your home with a sweet smell that you will notice right away when you wake up

I have a procedure next Wednesday to repair a rectocele. Not looking forward to procedure, but will be happy to have it behind me.

Our pond is in a green algae stage, but looking forward to seeing it clear. It’s not a serious condition, but does happen every spring.

Its a beautiful day here, and right now, I am going to plant some sunflower seeds!

in my limited travels...Queen of the night is the most spectacular spectacle of a flower...there is one 7 blocks down from where I used to walk in the wee hours....I woulld influence other walkers to follow me down the street to see this beauty in the horrid atmosphere of our bricked neighborhood 12 hours of blooming for what ever moth or bat it draws attention.

Well, I had to google that.
It does not sound like fun!

But glad it is going to be taken care of. How long is the recovery? no pun intended in your comment of it being "behind" you.
