Just wanted to say hello. We will be paying cash for our 210 points and I'm hoping we've spent our money wisely. We are truly Disney addicts but you never know what the future will bring. Have any of you gotten "cold feet" after taking the DVC plunge?

It will be the best decision you ever made. Our only regret is that we didn't join sooner than we did (1999)!!!!!:D

Cookie57, we are also new, having paid cash for 210 BCV points as well. Cold feet? No way! March 6th can't get here fast enough so we can plan our trip home! As a fellow rookie, I say welcome!!

Congratulations and welcome home! As far as cold feet goes, yes we are new owners at BCV as well with 600 points. I keep asking my self did I make the right decision? Its a lot of money, should I have started out smaller? I know I made the right decision as you probably do to, I am just the kind of person that worries about every decision I make only to find out later that all my worrying was for nothing. I am sure in a couple of years we will both be saying, as everyone else here does, it is the best decison I ever made and I wish I had done it sooner.

Congratulations and welcome home!

Terry S - Wow! 600 points for an initial purchase. How did you decide to buy that many?

Welcome Home Neighbor! To answer your question, yes, I have experienced a bit of "buyer's remorse" from my purchase from time to time being a new owner. But, I've decided even though we don't know what the future will hold, I'm going to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride and all the DVC resorts in the process!

Congrats and welcome home!!!

Also, start saving some more cash because you will definitely want (need, have to have, etc.) more points soon.

Chip1 - We plan on going to WDW twice a year for 8 nights each and stay in a 2 bedroom so that comes out to 627 points. We have two small childern ages 4 and 5. We have been to WDW 3 times with them now and the thing I hate the most is when the kids go to bed at night I have to try and accomplish anything I need to do in the dark without making any noise, so I knew a studio just wouldn't work for us. I debated on the one bedroom but that would work fine for a couple of years, then my son and daughter just wouldn't want to be sleeping in the same bed. So we decided on enough for a 2 bedroom. I guess we could have bought enough points for the 1 bedroom for a couple of years and then added on, but I know the prices will be higher then so I might as well do it now when I can get in at $70 point. This way for the next couple of years while we only need a one bedroom we can bank some of the points and take a cruise. We can also get the 2 bedroom now and invite my parents. Beleive me I have thought of enough things to do with those points I am beginning to wonder if I bought enough.:D :D

We are rookie DVC owners too, having just purchased 260 points at BCV. Although I always have buyers remorse on any major purchase, I must say I didn't experience any with my BCV purchase. Maybe I know deep down how much I need my Disney vacation each year.

Welcome Home!

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! Our first official visit to the BCV will be 11/8-11/12. We plan to stay in a studio since this will be only a four night stay with DH, two DS's(8and12) and myself. I do have a question. How long did it take from the time you said "yes" to joining DVC over the phone and when your documents arrived? I gave my approval on 2/18 but haven't received my FedEx visit yet. Thanks ahead of time to all my Disney lovin' BCV neighbors.

Congratulations and welcome home. We became members in March 2000 and have done 2 addons since then. Don't look back and start planning all those wonderful vacations.

Congratulations and Welcome Home. This is one thing in life I am sure you will not regret doing (at least your children won't!!!).

Have a wonderful stay at "home".

Cookie 57 - We purchased on 2/3 and received our federal express package on 2/14. Every day I looked at my front door. I could not wait for that package. When it came, I was so excited. With all the documents we received a canvas backpack, two dvc pens and an artists rendition of the BCV. I still feel on a high about this purchase. We just can't wait to March 6th to book!!
