Sunday is MGM day with a breakfast start in Fort Wilderness at Trail's End. Had the bus for the 3 minute ride all to ourselves. This place is so pretty, and I know we just saw a small part of it!! Peacocks were roaming everywhere. Breakfast was great! Another find from this board. Mickey waffles, breakfast pizza, sausage, bacon, cinnamon rolls, French toast, oatmeal, grits, 3 kinds of donuts. yogurt, fresh fruit..could there be any more?? Back to the hotel to pick up late sleepers. We had to check our room to see if Mousekeeping had been by..YES!! and there was a cute bunny made from a washcloth along with "Harry", a hand towel wrapped around DH's hairbrush with eyes and a smile sticker..so cute!! I had gotten $2 bills and OK postcards to leave each day for Mousekeeping.
Bus to MGM took 1/2 hour with a stop at Grand Floridian. Another beautiful day with moderate crowds. Headed straight to TT..20 minute wait. Over to FP RR and met up with the Green Army Men from Toy Story! Big guys all had their picture taken with the bazooka guy...good grief!! The GMR was next..another 20 minute wait. Beauty and the Beast was packed, but we managed to get 8 seats. Lunch at Backstage..just burgers..then Indiana Jones. Star Tours got attacked next. While I waited for everyone, I noticed the AT-AT..what happened to it? It was just a skeleton..did the hurricanes do damage to it? Muppet Theater and Backstage Tour finished up our time before dinner at Prime Time.
DH was the one who wanted to eat here. I kept saying, "Meatloaf??! You want to eat MEATLOAF on vacation??!!" Even with a PS it was a 1/2 hour wait. We had "Uncle Charlie" who turned out to be a hoot!! He seemed quiet at first, but he had that "eyes over the top of the glasses" look you got when you said or did something wrong. After we ordered, we sent groups of two out to get their EMH bracelets. We didn't want to get into trouble!! The portions of food were HUGE!! One order of fried chicken would feed one very hungry guy or 2 regular people!! Others had meatloaf and pot roast, which were all good. My DMIL did not eat all of her vegetables, so DD told her to hide them under her potatoes. Uncle Charlie caught it and said, "I know how to deal with people like you." No big deal, we thought. He returned with a plate of string beans topped with whipped cream and Mickey sprinkles for my DMIL!! She loved it..but still didn't finish her veggies!!
Unfortunately, we missed out on Fantasmic. Half the group stayed for EMH while the other half headed for hot showers and bed! My DMIL and I wore pedometers and logged over 12 miles each day!

Thats one reason why we like to take midday breaks. Gotta let your feet, legs and body recoup and rest.
