Some of these passengers are idiots--but there have been a couple of them with very legitimate gripes.

But most of them were either stupid drunks, or hadn't planned appropriately and were trying to blame it on everyone but themselves. Like the guy who missed his flight because the rental car place didn't drop him off at LAX terminal 1, so instead he went all the way around the airport, back to the car rental place, then abck to terminal 1. First of all, how close was he cutting arriving at the airport if that 35 minute trip made him miss your plane, and second, why didn't he just get off at terminal 2 and walk or shuttle over? Duh.

Sounds like this board. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey Anne, dd and I were watching also!!! I'm telling you...if I worked for an airline, I'd end up in jail for murder. There are some real 'uninformed' travelers out there. Did you see the one with the wedding planner who said they had been sitting at the gate and never heard the call to board? Even after she and her client had been paged three times?? Said she traveled every week and was a smart woman, who knew about flying, so there was no way she would have missed the boarding call, thereby missing her flight!!! I can't understand how you can be sitting there and miss everyone getting up and boarding and not notice it!!! Or the guy Tom who had a big family fight and was cut off by his family and had no way to get home! Or that blonde woman...she was pretty obnoxious.
Man, how do they deal with these people day after day!!!!! I'm vowing to be extra nice to those poor people!!!

I can't watch that show! I checked it out on On Demand, and some of those passengers were frightening.

Did any of you catch the one with the woman who'd just detoxed and missed her connecting flight? Wow, the dramatics those agents put up with from her!

Or how about the one with the guy and his cat? :rotfl2:

Most of them definitely make the passenger look bad. But the last one we saw a few months ago made Southwest look like the bad guy. I was surprised they let it air!

Several passengers had missed their connection because of a flight taking off late, after being assured on the ground before they got on the plane and by the captain in the air that their connecting flights were being held for them. They landed, and all the flights had left and there were no more to get that day, or for the next several days. Many people just rented cars to get to their next destination, but the gate agent was a total jerk to these people, most of whom were just stranded and trying to figure out what to do.

I saw a couple where I thought the agents were just smug know-it-alls, but for the most part the passengers were straight off of Jerry Springer.

Please don't let them be flying PIT to MCO, please! :rolleyes1

Okay, I think the show's been cancelled, but when it was being taped they mainly taped in Baltimore, Chicago/Midway and Los Angeles - so no, most of 'em wouldn't be flying PIT>MCO :)
Also keep in mind, ALL the people you see on this show had to sign releases before the producers/network could show them on TV. Gotta wonder about people who would behave like that, then allow the country to watch them

My question is this:

What do these people think as they're watching themselves make a fool of themselves? Or worse yet, friends and family watching?

Welll...the one drunk claimed to have no friends, and was actually disowned by his family during the course of the show.

Goofy4tink--I agree--that wedding planner incident just totally made me scratch my head in disbelief. My best friend who NEVER flies flew last winter and missed her flight--they changed the gate and made the announcement. She claims she never heard it, but she did see everyone get up and leave at once [for another gate]. I asked if she thought nature called for them all at once. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: When I read the title I was thinking the movie "Airplane." The very funny one. When I began reading I realized you were talking about the show "Airline." :confused3 :rotfl:

The time that scared me was when they overbooked a flight by over 50 people, many of whom were going to get on a cruise and had to be ontime. I can't figure out why they would want that to go out on the air.

Oops! I changed the title. Thanks for pointing it out...

This is all so funny! I actually watched most of the episodes today and kept thinking, I would so smack these morons who think they can call their lawyer everytime they mispack or they cancel flights due to weather? People have no responsibility anymore. Kudos to the SW people, cause yeah, I'da definitely slapped some of those folks.
 :scared1:
