Thanks Kizzabel. Not sure will do much good but we can try. Saw news item today with one couple being taken to court as they refused to pay their fine of £360 for 3 kids as they say their holiday was booked before new rules came in.

and I'm sure there will be petitions for these other changes once more information is known. We all should be allowed to complain/petition when it's something that's personal to us & we disagree with.
I wasn't saying you shouldn't be allowed to complain about things/petition things that are important to you; I don't agree with the fines either (as a teacher) but like I said the changes to school holidays will have a FAR bigger impact on when you can go on holiday and how much they charge. These issues are well known; they have been in the papers; on TV; been protests and strikes about them. But sometimes we only see what we want to see! Let's just hope Gove doesn't get his way with this one - or we will never see our kids!
