After almost 2 years of tests,I've been diagnosed with late stage neurologic Lyme Disease. I've sustained damage to my central and autonomic nervous systems, damage to some internal organs and have severe brain dysfunction, which is why I need your help now.I used to be queen of the multi-task and could plan a major assault on any tourist destination, but no more.I booked the 5/11 cruise 2 weeks after returning from the Magic Easter cruise last year because we were looking to cruise again, but at a time when the ship might not be so full,as too much noise and activity can be overwhelming for me. Who knew that 2 weeks or so after we booked, they changed the itinerary to the new Western route! So much for planning on a less than full ship! Here's my dilema-I'm not a major fan of Lumiere's-it's just okay.I'm also not a big fan of dressing up now,as even the most mundane tasks can tire me out.I want to book Palos on one of the formal nights-we'll also probably eat dinner in town,in Key West,as we own a place in Key West and know the area well enough to stay out late. I don't want to miss the Animators Palette show either. We'll be going with friends who have never done this before,so we don't want them to miss anything. If I request(knowing it might not be given to us) ALP rotation, would they do the show in Animators the first night?Do you think they'll have the formal nights the two days at sea? Am I making ANY sense? We'll also, just FYI, be in cabin 6080. This will be our 5th cruise, second with Disney and first with a balcony.Due to excruciating pain and debilitating fatigue, I won't be able to do much more than lay around like a lox,but no matter what,I'm going!! I just hope I don't have to get up at 6 am to get a chaise by the pool!

I hope you have better luck with you request than we did. We called DCL and asked for a certain dining rotation, we did not get it . I also do not care for Luminer's as much as most people and I did not want to dress up the first night on the cruise. We requested to be in P C or A P on our first night, guess what we were in Luminer's. We still had a great time.

Maybe they will honor it as a medical request?

I hope you have a great trip!

When we sailed last December, I went and asked to have our rotation changed and they had no problem with it. In fact, a friend of ours, not knowing we had changed, asked for our orginal rotation, then went back and requested the new rotation. They were very nice and honored all requests. Maybe if you try as soon as you board you'll be successful.

I may be wrong but I think the only possible rotations are...
LAP
APL
PLA

Good luck & hope you enjoy your cruise.

Just returned and we had APLAPLA rotation. The "show" was done on the first night. With that rotation, we had first formal in Parrot Cay (LOVE THAT RESTAURANT) and our second - the Captain's Gala - in Lumieres. I agree with you, Lumiere's was not my favorite. It was nice for being dressed up for a formal night there (it was the lobster night), but Parrot Cay is still my favorite.

Hi nannylori,

Just wanted to let you know that a slew of us are going on the 5/11 cruise with you. There is a 'western inaugral' post for all of us to maintain contact.

You might want to check in there. We are all looking to figure out formal/semi formal/show nights, etc. So, I would imagine that'll be the best place to get the info.

Take care of yourself!

Our last cruise was 2/23. The suggested dress for the first night was casual for all restaurants.

Don't worry a bit about getting dressed up. Just enjoy your cruise and remember that your health is your primary concern.

I'm not sure whether the Magic will follow the same dinner plan for the western itinerary as it does for the current eastern one.
If it does, casual dining is available every night (except for the first and last nights) at Topsiders. We had a delightful dinner there one evening. For a change of pace, it was so nice to have a "dinner for two" instead of the table of 10 on our rotation dining. The main courses were similar to the dining rooms. Give this some consideration--you might really like it.

if u have animators palate first, yes, they will have the show the first night. when i just got off the 7 day eastern cruise we had the really formal night on sunday and the other formal night on thursday. if u have any other questions ask. good luck and i hope u still have fun even though your sick
