to Disneyland! We are only going to be there for 4-1/2 days so I probably need to shorten the list some more!

Ariel's Grotto
Bengal Barbecue
Blue Bayou Restaurant
Carnation Cafe
French Market
Goofy’s Kitchen
Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria
Pacific Wharf Café
Plaza Inn
Rainforest Café
Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante’
Redd Rockets
Strips Dips 'n Chips
Taste Pilots’ Grill

I'd skip Naples and Ariel's Grotto! The food at both is terrible and so is the service!

We always eat outside of the park only because it is so expensive in the park. There are so many restaurants outside of the park. A couple of restaurants that we love are Millie's and Mimi's Cafe. It is so worth it to just walk out of the park and eat. It just gives us more money to be able to shop at the park instead of spending it all on food. :earsboy:

Another vote for the Bangel BBQ.

We eat at the Taste Pilots once a trip. I think the food is only okay. It is not on my 'must do' list, but we always seem to end up there.

One thing I would watch is portion size. A lot of these places serve enough food that you could split meals. Take a look at what everybody is eating before you order. I always forget to do that, and we end up throwing a lot of food away.

I looked at MousePlanet and the following scores were given by their readers. I guess we will probably go with the top group for sure.

4.7 Carnation Café (DL Table Service)
4.5 French Market (DL Cafeteria Service)
4.5 Pacific Wharf Café (DCA Counter Service)
4.4 Strips Dips 'n Chips (DCA Counter Service)
4.3 River Belle Terrace (DL Cafeteria Service)
4.1 Blue Bayou Restaurant (DL Table Service)
4.1 Goofy’s Kitchen (Character DL Hotel)(breakfast/lunch/dinner)
4 Bengal Barbecue (DL Counter Service)
4 Rancho del Zocalo (DL Cafeteria Service)

3.8 Redd Rockets (DL Cafeteria Service)
3.6 Plaza Inn (DL Cafeteria Service)
3.6 Taste Pilots’ Grill (DCA Counter Service)
3.4 Rainforest Café (Downtown)

3.3 Ariel's Grotto (Character DCA)(lunch/dinner)
3 Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria (Downtown)

We dined at French Market and it was so-so. Food was mediocre and we had to wait awhile as they opened late. If you eat there, their portions are considerably smaller (for the same price) then most of the other cafeteria places. My kids were still hungry after their kids mac-n-cheese.

We loved Redd Rockets. The chicken fusilli was great and big enough for DH and me to split. One kids spaghetti could be split between 2 kids. Our family of 6 split 1 adult entree, two kids spaghetti with meatballs, and bread. This was one of our cheaper lunches and tasted great.

While we liked Rainforest Cafe OK, it wasn't as good as some of the other Rainforest Cafes we've been to.

We loved Blue Bayou (had waterside table) and the kids enjoyed it. And Goofy's Kitchen was the highlight of our trip. The characters really spent a lot of time with our 1 YO DS. The other DS's loved the little show where they got to bang on things with Goofy. And the food was pretty good.

Food isn't really that important to me, so put that in perspective.......but I would't plan much around "where " to eat in the parks each day, as much as I would have 1 place in each "land" picked out as the place to eat if you happen to be there when hunger strikes.
My personal exception to this rule:
Bengal BBQ is a must for at least a few skewers while listening to the sounds of the jungle, Must eat one meal at River belle terrace's patio, have to eat something in the NOS rivers of america area. For me It is the place that matters more than the food!
