i havent been to disneyland in age (1984) i know there is a lot of changes.

but i seen maps and the monorail ride looks short and I :confused3 :confused3 was wondering does the monorail still go though the disney land hotel...
i know it did when i was a kid or is that may imagation.

You are probably thinking of the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. The monorail goes through the middle of it.

The monorail stop is in the same place it always was, I've read. But, they say, the DLH and buildings around it have changed. It never went through the hotel, they say, but there were things close enough that especially in a younger person's mind, it could see like that.

There was an Overhang from the DL offices near the Disney Travel Bureau that made it seem like it was attached to DL Hotel. and it went from the hotel into Tomorrowland. Now you walk from the DL Hotel to Disney Downtown to board the monorail ride to Tomorrowland.

I don't believe that the monorail actually went through the Disneyland Hotel, but the monorail was attached to the hotel but the hotel monorail station was torn down when DCA was constructed and moved to DownTown Disney, just a short walk from the Disneyland Hotel.

The Disneyland Hotel used to spread to the monorail station. There were restaurants (Monorail Cafe, Goofy's Kitchen, Neon Cactus) in the area, as well as gift shops. There were also the cabana rooms, with the Japanese Garden that also was east of the Wonder/Sierra Tower.

All of that was torn down, and the Disneyland Hotel was remodeled - pool where the lagoon used to be, etc. All the buildings east of the Wonder/Sierra tower were torn down, and that area became part of Downtown Disney.

The distance from the rooms to the monorail is essentially the same, but now you go through part of Downtown Disney.

Also, the street between the hotel & Disneyland was lowered, and you walk across a bridge that is also part of Downtown Disney. So, if you remember, the way to get from the hotel to Disneyland was either via the tram or monorail. Many people just walk to the parks.

You can read about it at Yesterland

The monotrail track was never moved. Just the buildings around it. Yes, you used to be able to ride to the Disneyland Hotel many, many years ago from Tomorrowland. As stated, the station is now located in Downtown Disney.

It may not have moved, but man it sure seems like it is further away. . . . oh wait, I was YOUNGER then too!!!:rotfl2:
