So I have 158 days until my August trip (8/9-8/15) and 261 days until my December trip (12/12-12/19) and already have a pre-trip report!!
DH doesn't want to go in August so I'm taking my BBF Dee  for her first trip ever to WDW. Now, before everyone gets mad, we are leaving her daughter at home for a multitude of reasons (she's 14). This is an adult-only girls week! :cool1: We are staying at SSR for both trips (our new "home!")! :thumbsup2
So for August we have bought our plane tickets, just made all of our ADR's and we got EVERY place we wanted for the times we wanted! yes folks, there are advantages to using the 180 day window for ADRs!! We should be at MK by 12:30pm on our arrival day which means we should be on POTC by 1pm or so. (the official opening of any trip is getting to MK and riding POTC....drives DH nuts!) My BFF has my WDW planning video so that she can figure out what she wants to see and do. Being a vet, I don't want to run her around all week doing my fave things...I want her to have a wonderful trip! Anyone have any suggestions? We are not-so patiently waiting to see if there will be P&PP pirate: the week we are going...hearing that it will be back in August, but not seeing it on the MK hours page, so we'll see. We've also printed out our park hours and tentatively planned our week including either drinking around the world or the monorail game....depends on how hot it is! Aug is blazing hot! She's REALLY excited and in desperate need of a vacation so what better place to go? I'm a little bummed though....never been to WDW without DH and it's our first "Welcome Home" to boot (we just bought DVC not too long ago!) so it's going to be a little weird leaving DH behind.
DH and I are going in December....our favorite time of the year and blissfully when the Pop Warner folks are leaving! DH and I have figured out tentatively where we want to eat and are not-so patiently waiting for MVMCP tickets and Candlelight dinner packages to go on sale.
I am buying an AP, but we can't decide what to do about DH. We are trying to figure out if it's more cost effective for an AP or just a MYW w/ hopper and parks and more. the problem is...my AP will be active in Aug. and his not until Dec. which could drive us crazy in the future! Anyone have any suggestions? It's definitely more cost effective for me to buy the AP.
DH and I are watching airfare and hope to have our plane tickets in the next few weeks....I know it's going to come down a little yet.
As the trips get closer....I'll be sure to update! Can't wait!!!! :woohoo:
