So, I always thought I was pretty savvy with a computer. Not Bill Gates savvy, by any means, but at both my old and current job, I would be the person people would go to for questions on the computer - and no, that is not my job.
So, I've been at my new job for a year and a half now and it always bugged me that my sound didn't work. I would go in settings and deal with everything and it still didn't work - it drove me crazy.
So, I'm on the phone with my dh and fiddling with the speakers themselves - almost unconsciously, not even realizing it. All of a sudden, my dh hears "oh my go$!" He thought someone was dying - nope it was just me realizing I didn't have the volume turned on the speaker itself - only took me a year and a 1/2 to learn that!
What a dork I am!
