...than spaghetti vomit...but right now i can't think of what that is. Christian apparently has a stomach bug. Bless his heart, he doesn't know what to do, he just keeps vomiting on himself. What a mess. We've changed his PJs three times since 9pm. Lucky for him(and us!) he has two twin beds in his room--he's going from one bed to the next. We're on our second load of sheets and blankets already. I guess i better put some coffee on cuz it looks to be a long night.

The ONLY worse thing I can think of is picking it OUT of carpet. Ugh! It was horrible. We finally discovered that DS is allergic to either a Prego sauce or the mushrooms that were in it. He's 19 & ALWAYS asks (very apologetically) if it's that brand or if it has mushrooms. After we figured out it was the sauce triggering his reaction, he is careful with eating spaghetti.

Hoping Christian is well very soon! And hope you get some sleep tonight.

No kidding! and I have light beige carpet,too. And when i went down to the basement to wash the clothes, i found all these little spaghetti strands on the floor. Apparently DH didn't even shake the clothes out, just tossed them down there. My whole house smells like bleach now (I guess that's better than vomit, right?)

Minkydog has been sharing her life with the Dis boards for a long time. we are like a large family here, and sometimes it helps a person to share what is going on in their lives to people out there. There are a ton of threads on the board that I shake my head at but they have the right to share that thought.

If it's not a stomach bug, he doesn't happen to have GERD does he? I've eaten spaghetti all my life but the other night I had had some spaghetti with Barilla Tomato & Basil sauce and that night in the middle of the night I had the choking reflux acid up the throat moment (just as bad as it sounds).

I checked the internet and sure enough, lots of posts about spaghetti sauce and reflux, like this:

Tomato products tend to be in the 4.6 pH range which is considered an acidic food. Some people say they can't eat tomatoes because of "too much acid" and the resulting heartburn and acid reflux. Tomato products have been shown to relax the lower esophageal sphincter, which can -- in some people -- cause it to not seal properly. This partial seal can allow stomach acids to come back up into the esophagus, causing irritation.

If you are experiencing acid reflux (or GERD - Gastroesophageal reflux disease) it is suggested that you avoid possible food triggers such as tomato based products.

It's probably a stomach bug like you think, but I wanted to add this info just in case. Hope he feels better soon

Hope your son feels better soon. My son revisited red jello with fruit and spaghetti, once before, all over his light beige carpet. There are still slight stains. Oh well. There's nothing worse than when your child is sick. You feel so helpless.

I don't get it? I went back and reread the OP and I don't see anything that you could remotely equate with bad parenting.

Why would you say something so rude? If you didn't empathize with her why didn't you just move on instead of posting a snarky reply followed by an insult?

I wish you had of called out your parents for their bad parenting for not advising you when have nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut and move on.

OP I hope your son feels better soon our house had a terrible stomach bug right after Easter pure misery.
