I'm Still Not Packed!!

am i the only one who thinks its crazy to pack almost two months in advance? your not moving there are you?i dont pack until a day or two before i go..why would i start sooner? ..im sorry i know this will irritate..but im just giving my sane opinion..i know these trips are exciting but i think some people lose thier sanity in planning thier trips..if i packed even two week sb4 our trip..every person i know whould think i was nuts..and they would be right..sounds a little ocd to me..ok im done giving an honest opinion..sorry if offen original poster..have a agreat trip..you sould be well prepared

well, I have one question for you (all in fun of course )...have you ever gotten down there and forgotten anything? How frustrated were you that you didn't have that certain something? I can honestly say, because I pack weeks in advance that in nine years of going on Disney trips with my family of five that I have never forgotten a thing!! And that is why I start to pack so early, and well, just because there is nothing better than seeing those beautiful suitcases in my living room ready to go. It just reminds me of having a blast with my family!

I've packed months in advance gotten down to Disney and realized I'd forgotten diapers for a 2 yo. That was exciting! Also forgot bottle liners for an 18mo old! That was really exciting!

I don't pack early (for any vacation) for the simple reason that we wear our clothes we are taking! Be it underwear, socks, pj's or regualar clothing items.

Texas Coast weather is similar to FL weather so what I wear here everday I will be taking to WDW.

The same goes for shoes. I guess because of where I live we don't really have "winter" and "summer" clothes. We just have year round clothes. My kids have school clothes (uniforms) and weekend/play clothes. I have work clothes (suits, etc) and play clothes.

I mean, obviously I won't be taking my wool peacoat to Florida, but I'll still be packing my fleece pullovers and hoodies. But, I need those while I'm here too.

I'm planning on two outfits per day per kid plus pj's, undies, bathing suits (4 per kid) etc. We're not going to do laundry while on vacation, so I'm pretty much emptying their closets and dressers of anything decent to wear. If I packed months in advance we'd be naked for months while at home! We're gonna barley squeak by with a week.
