I'm speechless...maybe not speechless..but quite surprised it's allowed on tv.

lol - my DD16 showed this to me online yesterday and I insisted it had to be an SNL skit. No, she said, it was a real commercial and she had seen it on TV. Guess she was right!!!

So juvenile but also very funny- but just doesn't hit the right note for me. I like to be able to tell the difference between your commercial and a comedy sketch making fun of your commercial, and I can't in this case.

I think Axe will lose a lot of customers.

Pushing the envelope has gone too far. Really we don't understand what that entire commercial was implying? What's worse, is this commercial is played during family television time.

Funny, no. Disgusting yes.

What about that raunchy commercial for bikini razors where all the shrubs (or bushes) are suddenly trimmed?

I think people think so little of themselves that they need to find this humorous or won't be considered cool.

That's the one. Like I said, I'm no prude but I think it pushes the envelope a little too much. I'm surprised it was allowed. I think that's what surprised me the most.

I tend to be on the "prudish" side, but then , its the internet and not on broadcast tv, and I thought it was funny. What I think is more insiduous and disturbing, are the erectile disfunction commercials that seem to air all the time. Those, I would put after 10 pm.

I think it HAS been on network TV, unless I'm mistaken.

The Cialis commercials make me cringe - and what is up with those bathtubs?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

All I can think when I see them is, "You're not hooked up to any plumbing, dummy!":rotfl:

:lmao: I thought it was hilarious. Though I do think the close up of her playing with the clean balls and the guy throwing her his ball sack were a bit much.

:rotfl: I thought that was the funniest part. Its definitely not something that belongs on TV before 12 AM though.

It did remind me of the Schweaty Balls skit on SNL.

Same!

Axe's advertising and marketing campaigns have never really leaned toward classy, but I agree that this is pushing the envelope. I would not be happy to see this on TV before 10 or 11 pm.

So it's just me then that thinks that it's pushing the envelope for TV?
I definitely think it pushes the envelope, but I have to say I think it's pretty funny if played for the right audience.

Excuse me? Did you not see all the people on here who thought it was funny. Are you really saying we all are so insecure that we have to think this is funny or not be cool?! I'm not cool and I have no desire to appear that way. I am also not usually a fan of sophomoric humor, but I do think this is funny.

Way to be rude.

I will take the Axe commercials over Cialis any day. I think its time for all of these commercials to be reigned in....AFTER the family hour, whenever that actually is.

The commercial I cannot stand is the one for a woman's shaver for legs and the bikini area. It shows women walking by bushes and the bush turns into the shape that is supposed to be how her bikini line looks. I'm not a prude, but it makes me crazy.

I think its funny that she thinks AXE will lose its core customers of men 10-24 by creating this commercial.

Please let the record show for those who did not see the post that this ^^ is referring to, that I did not say that. :rotfl:

Im with you. I couldnt care less if a dude gets his groove on or not. I also do not want to see any feminine products either.

My DS15 loves Axe products, they do smell good for icky sweaty teens after sports. We got a ton of free samples, so that is why we had it to begin with, but now I won't buy it. The product should stand on it's own, its a good line. They ruin for me personally with the way the advertise.

I buy Old Spice products for him, lol, they smell good too, and DS is too young to really associate the way they used to advertise to an older crowd.

Guess I've been fortunate enough to have missed that one.. LOL.. Seems the commercials are getting bolder and bolder - with no thought to what time of day or night they are aired..

Count me in as thinking that was funny!

Reminds me of an early morning news segment on one of our local channels about 15 years ago. A doctor was on there talking to a female newscaster about prostate cancer. He was talking about the prostate gland, and several times the doctor emphasized that the gland was about the size of a walnut. So, at the end of the segment, the doctor said "Men, be sure to get your nuts checked." You could tell as soon as he said it that he didn't mean to say it in quite that manner, and I thought the woman newscaster was going to die on the spot. Both of their faces turned beet red and they quickly cut away to something else. It still gives me a giggle to this day!
