I have stated here before that you would have to be crazy to buy a DVC contract at HH. Well I just returned from a 2 day visit (on off season) at HH. It was my first visit there. WOW. It was great ! We stayed in a 1 bedroom and had a great time. The room was awsome , the staff was great and the location was supreme. We will be staying there in the future. Congrats to anyone who purchased a contract there as I believe it may be the best DVC deal around.

I don't own at HH but I would love to. It's a great place, great location, great CM's. A definite place on our "must go back to" list. Try it, you won't regret it, especially if you are partial as I am to low-country living.

There are a lot of great cm's in the "world" but there are a couple of great ones at HHI. One of the Gift shop cm's has a pretty good memory with names. chef gordon, b'lou, and I have not seen the nature guide but alot of people think he is great.

My sisters thought we were crazy for buying 200 points at HH. They sure didn't say "no" when we asked if they wanted to share a grand villa this June though.

We bought our points there, but have not even seen the place yet. We have been to busy at WDW. I am glad to hear you enjoyed it.

HH is the most inexpensive use of points especially in the off season. Unlike all the WDW resorts, HH points don't go up at all the holiday timeframes. HH was the surprise add-on for us as we decided it would be a great yearly trip. And best of all, no park passes required. The CM's there are the best of any Disney resort. So far we've had no problem booking at WDW with any remaining HH points. However, we've been traveling to WDW in non-peak seasons.

I'm so happy to read your post. Although HH is our home resort, we have not been there yet. Our first stay will be this July. I can't wait.

Some previous threads suggest DVC will not build any new resorts outside WDW because sales are slow compared to onsite DVC resort sales. If this is true and DVC continues growing with additional onsite resorts/owners, HH and VB may be the most difficult reservations to get at the 7 month date.

We dont own at either resort but the people who do, may have an advantage over onsite owners. It seems with the addition of each onsite resort, onsite room availability increases ( current owners checking out the newest resort) at the 7 month mark making it easier to secure onsite reservations for those who own at HH and VB. Just my opinion, I guess time will tell.

I have heard so many good things about HH. We are anxious to try it ourselves. We just got back from VB for our first visit there and absolutely loved it!! We usually vacation in Jan & Feb just to get out of the gray, cold country. When is it good "shorts" weather in HH? Is it better in early spring or later in the fall? We don't like to vacation in the south in the summer months.

I went last December for the first time and thought that it was nice and that the CMs were awesome especially David at the front desk. I want to give it a try again sometime but in the summer were there will be more activities...

By the way I bought there originally in 1999 because I was not interested in the BWV and I am glad I did.......I now added on at BCV and I am glad I did also
