My mom was going through a book that Kaylee's Kindergarten class had made last year and I guess I missed this entry.

It was one of those "when I was a baby I could... when I grow up I want to be...." etc. and then drew a picture of them selves doing that.

Well each kid filled one out and then the teacher photo copied them and bound them in a book for all the parents.

Well being the good parent I am ;) I found Kaylee's and then skipped by all the rest.

That is until tonight.
Most of them said " When I was a baby I could crawl or I could play"

But one of them said " When I was a baby I could breastfeed" complete with illustration! Not the baby breastfeeding mind you, just the objects as drawn by a 5 year old little girl.

It just really made me giggle! Of course Im not sure I would feel if that were MY child who drew mine for all the world to see but well....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Whew...I'm glad mine won't be drawing that!!! :teeth:

That is so funny!!! :rotfl: My daughter will be doing something like in kindergarten, I can picture it already!! She's just that way!!

I remember when I taught kindergarten and a little girl drew a picture of her mom for me, complete with those parts up top. Hilarious. If her mom could've seen it, how red her face would've been!

Thanks for sharing this hilarious story!!

That's hilarious!

When ds was in K, a girl wrote in his little book "When my daddy passes, I will get his restaurant." Kids are so funny!

Do I get your rings when you go to heaven Mommy? :rotfl2:

It's not like I want to take that departure any time soon. :rotfl:

i still have a booklet my daughter participated in making in early kindergarten. it was a cookbook titled "mom's best recipies". my daughter like a few others listed homemade items and what they thought were the ingredients and cooking instructions, but the majority were things like "mom's famous mexican night". these had instructions like "go to taco bell, order lots of burritos and tacos, put them on a big plate with the sauce packets, when dad get's home say "i had such a bad day today-tomorrow nite you get to cook dinner"". :rotfl2:

My son's class did that when he was in 2nd grade - I still have it - it was so precious!

Baked chicken.... put the chicken in the oven, burn the chicken, go back to the store to buy more chicken.

I remember my son would look up and me and ask why I didn't want to use his cookbook!

Reminds me of Gracie Allen's foolproof recipe for a perfectly done beef roast:

Buy a big roast and a small roast, put them both in the oven. When the little one burns, the big one is done! :)

Okay, am I nuts here? That is a great story but what has me in stiches is that I will forever think of Binny's "objects" and how thankful she was they weren't drawn for the world to see. I feel like chanting "I see Binny's objects, I see Binny's objects..." :rotfl2:

When DS was in 1st grade he was out sick one day. The next day he went back to school and had to do a make up project. All the kids were coloring paper doll figures of themselves to hang on the classroom door. The teacher told DS to color a picture of himself, so he did, peach skin everywhere and a little black dot for his little boy parts. The teacher called me in after school when I was picking him up and went on this "this isn't appropriate" lecture, I was trying so hard not to laugh I couldn't say anything. She was a young mom who's oldest at the time was 2 so she didn't know any better. I finally asked her what instructions she gave him. She said she told him to draw a picture of himself. I said, "well, that is exactly what he did". She never said put clothes on it. :rotfl2:

I got a big kick out of a book that my DS put together in preschool. They took pictures out of magazines and glued them to the pages of the book. There was the typical, "This is me," with a magazine picture of a kid, etc. When it got to the last page of the whole family, he had chosen the picture of a typical suburban Mom, younger brother, himself, but had chosen a black guy for his Dad, (who doesn't happen to be black). It was adorable, and I often wondered if the teachers assumed that his Dad was African American. My DS is still colorblind, which I'm proud of. I kept the book and still treasure it! Keep the stories coming; I love this stuff! :flower:

well I didnt know what the filter would let through LOL. I dont usually test it KWIM? LOL

and trust me, if you had seen this picture you would understand! Poor mom, she must have a serious case of lopsidedeness and apparently some colour issues as well.

The girls just drew 2 breasts, no body or anything. two circles... it really was funny!

Well, you have to admit she's right. :teeth:

Just hoping she didn't include this pastime also under things she does NOW.
