Lovely, cute pictures Claire.Bailey's training seems to be coming along well then-i love the one with her paw up.x.

Oh my they are adorable!!!

lovely pictures Claire :goodvibes

So glad Bailey's fine, Claire!!!! :thumbsup2 And OMG aren't the photos gorgeous!!! I recall our old Boxer, Harvey, frightening me something stupid when he had an allergic reaction to one of his jabs as a pup - his tongue became swollen, he couldn't keep his head upright and his back was all lumpy bumpy! I remember picking him up and literally running to the nearest vets in a total panic!!! Needless to say he was fine in 24 hours... Typical Boxer... ;)

Off topic but Boxer-related - I'm not sure what to do about our proposed addition as I've now started a full-time degree course and, whilst I'm not out of the house 24/7, it's not what I'd planned when thinking about welcoming another puppy into the house - it's a toughie...

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

I think it must be something to do with the breed Karen....we were always at the vets when Stamford was a pup - they get up to all kinds of mischief. ;)

Ohh that is a toughie....I think if I was you I would wait a bit longer until you have settled into your course and see how much spare time you will have....all puppies are hard work but I think Boxers especially need a bit more time and attention as they are such curious little characters!

It was only last week Bailey somehow managed to get through a 4 foot wide bush which has chicken wire running all the way through it. She was happily charging round my neighbours garden! Thankfully she did not dig up his precious lawn and luckily he was out (he is a bit of a Victor Meldrew type  ) and she managed to come back through eventually when I called her and rattled her treat jar! :upsidedow

You must be having such a tough time trying to make the right decision. You could always babysit my two....that would put you off. :goodvibes

Absolutely agree, Claire and I'm going to put it on hold for now. This would've been a perfect time as my wonderful OES Suzy (a real star) is now 7 years old and she would be a great teacher. Unfortunately (and I hate to even type this) Old English Sheepdogs don't live that long so I'm a bit twitchy about it... :sad2:

Anyway back to Boxer business and I'll give you another hilarious Harvey anecdote. This is a dog who jumped out of first floor window not once but twice - and the second time he was about 11 years old!!! The first time we lived in an old cottage and the ceilings weren't too high so I reckon he probably leapt 15 feet or so. The second time he jumped out of a bedroom window onto a sloping conservatory roof and slid a little before jumping into next door's garden!!! He then proceeded to calmly c0ck his leg and pee up their ornamental rose!!! What a nutcase... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:
