I'm SO upset! Help!

I had an intimate wedding last May, and I had 3x5's made of all of the photos. I also went ahead and bought the CD with all of the photos on it, so that I could enlarge/duplicate/etc. the photos anytime I wanted. I did NOT buy any other photos from Disney because I had the CD.
Well, I know it's been a while, but we have been moving and things have been crazy, but I just took the CD to get my photos enlarged, and they can't even be enlarged a little! I just tried to make one 4x6, and it's all pixilated, not to mention in BIG letters on the bottom COPYRIGHT DISNEY! I can't believe it! Now all I have from my wedding are small 3x5 prints! The only reason I bought that CD was for this purpose, and I didn't buy any other photos. What is the point of this CD? I am really upset. Help! Any suggestions or has anyone else had this happen? I am sure Disney won't be able to do anything now.

Did you buy the $75 low resolution cd or the $1000 high resolution CD? Disney states the $75 dollar cd is for wallet sized prints and onscreen viewing and emailing of photos. If you want to print prints from the CD, you need to purchase $1000 high res cd.

I would call Disney right away and ask them!! I know some places keep back ups until the one year mark, not sure what Disney's policy is.. I know it's the weekend, but someone might be there if you call!!.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, that totally sucks.. goodluck!!!!

I heard that you can buy the high res CD for $99 after 3 years. For now, you can purchase all the proofs for $225. Good luck!

My planning packet for this May says 3 years. And it says the $1000 charge is subject to change without notice!

This was in May of 2004, and I don't remember at all. I think they have changed things though because now they have intimate and custom, and I just think everything has changed. I called and left 2 messages and will call again Monday morning.

Definitely call Disney...and confirm which CD you bought.

For my intimate wedding in September, I purchased all the proofs for $225 and received the low-res CD (it's part of the package now) with my album.

The high-res CD cost $1000 at the time of your wedding (at least that's what the deal was for 2005, and I think for the past few years).

After 3 years you can purchase the high-res CD for $99.

My guess is, the OP got the low-res CD...if you want the high-res and it's only been a year, Disney will still have it. Call your EM back or just call the FTW department.

Yeah...she typed May 1994, but in the op it said last year, and in her siggie it says May 2004...so I'm a bit confused too!

I would have to say that the CD I bought was around $30.00, but I really don't remember. I would have never bought it if I knew I couldn't do anything with it. At the time, it was not included.
Does anyone have any numbers for me to call? I just have one from someone in event planning. My EM was Maxine (I think that was her name) and I don't have her # anymore.

Hey, kellymouse, we all make typos!!

I'm guessing with the CD only costing $30 that you did, indeed, get the low res. My photographer told me we could get small prints from that, possibly 4x6's, but I haven't tried that myself...I was a bit surprised to hear you couldn't...either I can't or perhaps they've gotten more hi-tech stuff over the past year...who knows!?!?

Whhhheeeewwwwwwwwwwww! Thanks for Stephanies e-mail. She was nice enough to write me back today! This is what she wrote.

The CD included in your package or purchased for $75.00 is a low resolution CD (this is listed on all of the collateral) This is good to view all images taken, e-mail family or use as a screen saver. It is not good to print from, the images are also copyrighted.

A High resolution is available three years after your event for $99.00, this will act as your negatives and you can print any images (up to an 8x10) at home or taken the disk to a local lab.

Also, you can order reprints through us directly for up to 5 years. You wedding pictures are still available for several more years. I have attached reprint information for you to view. This was also included with your 12 print 4x5 folio.
