We leave for Disney in 7 days, and I am getting really nervous, my DD is going to her doctor tomorrow morning to have her leg braces fitted re-padded and sized into her new sneakers she will be using at Disney. I have a wheel chair on hold if she needs to use it (she doesn't want it) but after the first day and if she is blistered she will need it, please reassure me that things are going to be OK, I'm already not sleeping over all of this and any last minute advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Here's some blister preventing pixie dust to help you on your way!

On a more practical note, has she had good luck with not getting blisters before when she had shoes and braces re-fitted? If so, she will hopefully have the same good luck.
Some people have reported good luck with using antiperspirent for preventing blisters on the feet. (Preventing moisture helps prevent friction). I don't see why it wouoldn't work for whatever parts of the body her braces might rub against. Maybe you can get some extra hints for avoiding blisters from the orthotist who is doing the fitting.
Since you are leaving in 7 days, you'll have a little time to get any "hot spots" taken care of before you go.
Also, maybe, you can get her to agree to use a wheelchair for traveling between rides. That would help her conserve energy for fun instead of the boring stuff like getting from place to place. She could park the wheelchair with the strollers and walk in line.
Good luck and have fun.

First of all...RELAX!!! :) Get some rest now...because you will be having too much fon once you get there to sleep! :) Just have fun and your stress will take care of itself.

They already gave you some wonderful advice... Take a look at the FAQ, maybe there are some ideas in there for you. And RELAX! :) It's a vacation! :) :) :) Hmmm... maybe I should bump that post....

{{{{hugs}}}} Have a wonderful, relaxing, fun trip!

have a wonderful time, lots of PD on the way for you. If your really nervous I'll go in your place!!!

Hey, even able bodied 10 yr olds were begging to be pushed in a stroller by the afternoon.
If you need a wheel chair that first day, after the intial excitement wears off,go to the Guest Services and Explain, they will be able to help you get a wheel chair[even free].[Or decide to take a rest for a couple hours so you can get the reserved chair!]So the rest of the day will be as fun and as exciting as the morning!!

Relax,Sleep NOW,so you are rested when you get to WDW. You will need all the Sleep you can get!!!!

Have a Great Trip!! Stop Worring,it will be great!! Have FUN,FUN,FUN!!!
