I'm so miserable!!!!

I think I have strep throat again!! This will be the fourth time since February. We thought we identified my youngest DD as the carrier, but she has been at her grandparents for almost 3 weeks. I haven't had any contact with her in that time. Why do I keep getting this!!!

My throat hurts, I feel like I've been run over by a Mack truck, I guess the Red Sox were on this afternoon, so I'm not sure what I'm going to watch for TV tonight and I just want to crawl in a hole and die. Make this end please!

Okay, enough whining. Now I'm going to cry and maybe take one the vicodin I have from one of my previous cases. Hopefully I can get to the doctor's early tomorrow and start taking the antibiotics again. Of course that makes me nervous because in between my 2nd and 3rd case of strep, I had c-diff from the antibiotics. I'm terrified of getting that again!

No, what's worse is having strep throat while at WDW I had strep one WDW trip, horrible.

I had a lot of sore throats/strep over the last few years, and I finally gave in and got my tonsils out in May. Have you been seeing an ENT and documenting your frequency? It's no walk in the park as an adult, but something to consider.

I'm sorry I hope that you get some relief from the Vicodin until your next course of antibiotics kicks in. I'd seriously consider asking for my tonsils to be taken out if I got strep that often. It's so painful I hope you feel better soon.

That really stinks, I hope you feel better soon! I went through a bout of strep after strep a long time ago back when I was in junior high and it was awful with each time feeling worse as it takes so much out of your system. They considered taking my tonsils out but didn't and I eventually got over them and have actually never had a strep since. I don't have anything to add except good wishes and maybe hope that this will end for you soon and not come back!

Oh, and don't feel bad about missing the Sox, they lost!

Had my tonsils out at age 41 - and the pain from the surgery was EASY compared to the pain from the sore throats! I tell you - I haven't had a sore throat in 2 years. I'd consider it, it was sooooo worth it.

Steamboat, that sounds bad. I'm glad you finally got your tonsils taken out. I got mine taken out when I was 5 and it cleared up a bunch of trouble with ear infections and sore throats.
