Losing weight is something that you have to do for yourself, and no one can do it for you. Set a weight goal and when you reach it reward yourself with something such as your ideal trip to Disney. It will give you something to look forward to.

3 1/2 years ago I started a low carb life style. I lost 37 pounds and kept it off.... but still had another 20 more to go, so I have gone from low carb to Weight Watchers (still staying somewhat low carb), and have lost another 5 1/2 in two weeks. Losing weight and keeping it off is not a temporary diet, but a life style change. Make sure you stay in touch with your physican, and good luck! :thumbsup2

You know sometimes you just have to accept who you are and move on. I am fat but am in perfect health, I could lose weight at any time, but sometimes that just doesn't work, and you make yourself miserable looking at a scale.

If you are on here to make fun of "fat" people, shame on you, there are more important things in life to worry about.

At least at Disney, you aren't turned away from rides being too "fat"!!

Go wdw for being fat friendly!!!! :Pinkbounc

Truthfully when I read it I thought to myself, " I want a cupcake" See what too much dieting does to ya? Someone comments on thier weight and my first thought is "I want a cupcake" yep, jogging track here I come lol

First and formost welcome to the disboards. As someone who has faught the battle of the bulge I understand how it can bring you down. Being on the disboards can make you excited about your trip and then sad to think about how you will look in those family photos. In some peoples cases they may have questions or issues with their ability to move about the park or even fit or in some cases not fit on to the rides. I feel that this is the appropriate board for someone to vent their frustrations or to ask help from other disboard members who have experience and can share them. I do not believe the boards are a place to put someone down for any reason. :smooth:
A number of folks have given you excellent advice. If you haven't had a recient physical go get one. I am a fan of the Weight Watchers program and have just started back because I want to be in the family photos on our trip in February and not just the one taking those family photos. Make sure you find a leader that you feel comfortable with. I absolutely love mine, she makes me laugh and has taught me to take time out for myself. We always do for our family and our spouses and don't take time to take care of ourselves. Weight Watchers also has an excellent community board where you can talk about weight issues and receive excellent advice from people who have had the same struggles. :grouphug:
I wish you this best and please feel free to inquire into everything Disney.
