I just bought our first ever annual passes!!!!!!! And I got our tickets to the Halloween party. My immediate family humors me but the rest of my family just shakes their collective head when I try and share my excitement so I have to go crazy on here.

We live in No Cal and this will be our first trip to DL. We have done the World in the past. We love every minute of it. People keep telling me not to be disappointed by DL. What is there to be disappointed by? It is Disney after all.

I know that most of the restaurants we don't need advance reservations for. we are doing the Halloween party on October 22. Should we make reservations for dinner that night?

Any other advice for newbies to make the weekend more memorable? And for future trips?

If you make dinner ressies the night of ToT, do if for before the party. Either in DTD or DL. Don't waste valuable ToT time eating....unless it's eating your ToT candy!

I have always wanted some kind of Annual pass to ANY Disney park but never had them. didn't make much sense when we lived in Kansas. Now however.....

We are planning on another weekend trip before Christmas ( I have always wanted to see the holiday decorations) and a trip the beginning of January when our older son visits from college. So they made the most sense. We will buy our older son a hopper pass and be set. I am hoping they have a good deal in staying on property in January.

Last time we went to WDW we were there for 10 days and still didn't get to see everything.
