As you may be able to tell from my title, I'm just a little bit excited to be visiting WDW this year
.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Nicola, I'm 26 and for as long as I can remember I've wanted to go to Disney. So I'm beyond excited that our trip is so close now!
Who am I dragging along with me? My mum, and my 2 little cousins (9 and 6).
How did this trip come about? Well like I said I've wanted to go to Disney (not just Disney, but Disney World in Florida), for as long as I can remember! And every year that passed was another year I hadn't been. So early last year I thought I'm going to have to get the ball rolling, I face timed my cousin in Ireland (she grew up here in England, but moved to Ireland 9years ago. We were born 10 days apart and were really close growing up and still are now) and asked could I take her eldest and she said yes! Woohoo. So at the moment it's me and Madison (9yr old) going for 12 nights.
Then I told my mum about our plans and she was umming and ahhing about coming and tried to talk me into changing it to Disney Land Paris (which I wasn't having any of! It's Florida or nothing at all mother
), and then she decided she was definitely coming as well. So now we have me, Madison and my mum.
THEN on face time to my cousin again (we FaceTime every day lol) and she says "awww Tadgh will be so gutted he's not going"... Yeah you guessed it, we're up to 4 ppl going to Disney now!
A little about the kids..
Madison is 9 and is a bit..umm how can I put this..a bit of a diva
. She is completely lovely but I think she's watched too much Hannah Montana etc and can be overly dramatic. She is really polite and generally a good kid. She loves all things American and can often be heard speaking in an American accent lol.
Tadgh (an Irish name pronounced Ty-gh..hmm that's hard to write down) is 6 and gorgeous! He's a bit of a mummy's boy so I'm a bit worried he gets homesick (I think he should be ok though as he'll have Madison with him). He can be shy when you first meet him but soon turns into a nutter once he's warmed up to you.
So yeah it was decided that we would go to Disney, but of course I couldn't book yet as the 2014 rates with FD and the free gift card weren't out. We finally booked in May for 12 nights at Coronado Springs Resort the 17-29th August, with free dining and $200 gift card.
So yea that's it! I'm sure I'll keep posting on here when I have no one else to talk Disney with (my mum just doesn't 'get it' lol). I'll leave you with some photos..
Me and my mum at my aunts 50th (St Patricks Day!):
Madison (before this photo she'd actually said "pretend I'm an American girl going to high school"... Told she she's American mad lol:
