Some of you may remember that I had to cancel a vacation last year due to a relative being diagnosed w/ cancer and then we had a conflict w/ the kids missing school. Well it took Disney over a month to fully reimburse me, the check that was supposed to have been sent out didn't get generated and it was a mess. Well I talked to a lovely man in guest services and he had my check overnighted to me also telling me that he would make our next stay worth the while. To contact him after we had booked and he would apply a discount if possible.
Well I was foolish and upgraded to WL and then contacted him. He assured me that he would return my call and 6 days later still notta. So I just got off of the phone with guest services and no discounts can be applied to our household. Well I'm surely not paying rack rate prices at WL and I was very tempted to cancel the entire vacation had it not been for the kids wanting to go.
They were kind enough to give us VIP fireworks viewing in Epcot, which I'm really grateful for. And I just told them since they can't do anything with a discount would they downgrade us to a value under the circumstances. She did and for no charge. She did say that when the original guest services CM gets in that he may be able to go further but it has taken me since September to get in touch w/ him. Its like an act of congress to get through to him.
