My first trip is fast approaching and I keep having doubts for my ADR's. We are on the DDP staying 4 night but really 3 days. It will be me and ds 15. My ADR's are for Teppon Edo at 5:15, Cali Grill at 9:20 (hoping for a good seat for fireworks) and Whispering Canyon at 8:20. The reason for the late dinners is because we will be with friends that are staying off site and want to spend as much time with them as possible. My questions are what do you think of the selections and What are your experieces with ding later?

What time is Wishes the night you are going to Cali grill?

Well, actually, in my opinion, regardless of if Wishes is at 9:30 or 10:00, reservations for 9:20 are too late to ensure you will be seated by the time they start. Usually when we make reservations for Wishes we make them for around 7:30 when Wishes is at 9:30. This allows us to be seated and be eating dessert as Wishes starts.

Also, most (not all) of the tables right at the glass are tables for two, so chances of good seats are a little higher then if you were a larger party.

Your selections look great, and CONGRATS on Cali Grill! 9:20 ADR and the fireworks start at 10:00. That'll be just GREAT! :) CG is a great restaurant. Delish!

The only thing I'm worried about is the Whispering Canyon. That restaurant is ANYTHING but whispering. If your friends and you wish to talk a lot that night, don't count on hearing each other. BUT, if you have young children in your party, they'll love it! It's very active. Some adults love it as well, but it's just too loud for me. I get headaches really easily too.

I've never heard of the other one though, so hopefully it will be good!

BTW - What park are you going to the day you go to the Whispering Canyon? Perhaps I could suggest something else? I don't mean to sound snooty - :rotfl: but I really didn't like that restaurant! But it's really about individual tastes, so you might really enjoy it! If MK, the plaza restaurant is my favorite!!

I am sorry I wasn't clearer. We are not eating with our friends. It will be just my son and I. He is 15 and really isn't into character dining but thought whispering canyons sounded fun. We wanted to get at least one "fun" sit down dinner. We will be at animal kingdom that day if you have any other suggestions.

If he thought it sounded fun, I'm sure you two will enjoy it! My mother and I are going to the BBB, and we're not exactly little girls! :goodvibes
