I'm so confused...WHEN do I book dining reservations???

Our trip begins Jan. 5, 2008...I need to book our dining reservations, and thought I had plenty of time. At first, I thought it was 60 days in advance for character meals...but then someone told me it was 90....then I read somewhere that it is 180!

Help!

For character meals, I want to book CRT (yeah, I know, good luck to me), a dinner at LTT, and a lunch at Garden Grill.

Do I need to make regular dinner reservations for that time of year for the other nights? What do you think?

You can make your ADRs at 180 days. I would strongly suggest that you call right at the 180 day mark for your character meals, especially CRT.

And yes, ADRs are recommended at any time of year. Ever since they started the dining plan, it's become very difficult to walk up to TS restaurants and get a seat. Some restaurants no longer accept walk-ups; if you don't have an ADR, they'll just turn you away.

You find out when 180 days is from your date of arrival, if staying at a WDW resort. You can then book that day plus up to the following 10 days of your stay. So you could've started making your ADR's on 7.9.07 by using this calculator.. http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php

You should still be ok on CRT, but may not get your exact time you want.

You'll be able to call at anytime now since the 180 day mark for the 5th would have been July 9th, I think. We arrive on the 7th. FWIW I had no problems getting CRT for lunch on the day we wanted. Fingers crossed for you!

It doesn't matter if you are onsite or not- all guests are eligible to make ADRs at 180 days. The only extra perk the onsite guests get is they can make ADRs starting 180 days from their checkin day, and up to the next 10 days of their trip (the 180+10 policy).

Yes, get started now for those hard to get ADRs. My arrival date is January 27th and my 180 window is Tuesday July 31th, so your window is open now and has been for several weeks.

Call Disney Dining ASAP (407.939.3463). Our 180 day window was 7/20 (we're going Jan. 16), and I was the first caller that morning to Iliana. Got everything we wanted!
So you are past your 180 day mark, and can call when you can, but don't wait too long. Ressies go fast!
