For the most part DH and I have an "understanding" of what our household duties are. Some are his (putting the trash at the curb, all landscaping duties, his bathroom
and his office), some are mine (food and household goods shopping, meal planning, cleaning my bathroom, getting the kids out of the house before 7am 3 days/wk and organization of our lives
), the rest are shared pretty equally. My only complaint is that for me to get DH to do a lot of the shared duties plus his bathroom, he needs a lot of reminding (he'll insist otherwise
). I'd shudder to think what the cat box would look like if I didn't do it or remind him that it was time
.
As far as vomit goes, I can handle our ODS's vomit if DH isn't around (with the exception of when I was pg with #2, then forget it) but nobody else's! DH is excellent with puke and has cleaned mine up on several occasions without batting an eyelash
