I'm sick of being THE man!!!

For the most part DH and I have an "understanding" of what our household duties are. Some are his (putting the trash at the curb, all landscaping duties, his bathroom  and his office), some are mine (food and household goods shopping, meal planning, cleaning my bathroom, getting the kids out of the house before 7am 3 days/wk and organization of our lives :lmao:), the rest are shared pretty equally. My only complaint is that for me to get DH to do a lot of the shared duties plus his bathroom, he needs a lot of reminding (he'll insist otherwise :rotfl2:). I'd shudder to think what the cat box would look like if I didn't do it or remind him that it was time .

As far as vomit goes, I can handle our ODS's vomit if DH isn't around (with the exception of when I was pg with #2, then forget it) but nobody else's! DH is excellent with puke and has cleaned mine up on several occasions without batting an eyelash :worship:.

You rock, Marius! There is a special place in heaven for parents who clean vomit while those of us with weak stomachs cower in the background. We are 16 years into the parenthood gig, and I STILL can deal with this part of it! :rotfl:

Bugs, dead rodents, trash, lawn care, rain gutters, car maintenance, dealing with scary noises, home repair, toting the heavy stuff... Hmm, I think I need to take a moment to go thank my DH today. :lovestruc

Hope this week is better for you!

I have to kill all the bugs at our house. But I guess it is a good trade off. One time I was severly ill with food poison and wound up in the hospital. To make the story short... my wife had to repaint walls in the house becuase of me.
As a side note. I usually chase her around the house with the dead bug after I kill it. After 22 years of marriage you got to have some fun.

I am currently a "single" mom while DH is in Iraq... but I tell you, when he comes back I am happy to give him back his old jobs... LOL. Cleaning the backyard from the dogs and mowing it - UGH. Pure torture... I think I have a lot more respect for him now!

OP, I'm sure your dw is thankful. Right? My boys are 11 and 14yrs now and I can only recall them barfing 4 times in there lives thank goodness my dh was home for the first 3:worship:. The last time about 2 years ago it was late at night and no way could it wait until my DH got home. I had to go on the internet to find instructions to operate the shampoo feature of our rainbow vaccume cleaner.:lmao: I had to carry a big cup as I cleaned because I almost lost it many times.

Thank the Lord for my DH and all he has and can and will do for us.:worship:
