Oh wow.

I like Rent. And Wicked.

But I also am obsessed with the classics. I have tons of Broadway soundtracks.

I know there's a lot of teenie boppers that saw the Rent movie and were like 'OMGZZZZZRS' and stuff, but really, not everyone that likes Rent & Wicked are like that.

The preps at my school. They're convinced that they are Rentheads because they know the lyrics to Seasons of Love. Whoop-de-doo. So does everyone else on the planet.

I saw Wicked, and fell in love with it. I don't run around screaming, OMGWICKEDLETSLOVEITANDJUMP. Same thing with Rent. I like it. If I listen to both soundtracks enough times, I become obsessive again.

However, I know that there are other people in the world that value Broadway more than I do. I go for the shows and the meaning, while other people actually want to be the stars on that stage, acting, singing and dancing.

Right. I know I have a lot of Rent stuff in my sig and stuff, but I'm cool like that. But anyways, I've seen the movie and the show, and I have books about Jonathan and his life, and the making of Rent. I'm not like 'OMGZ!! I LOVE MIMI BECAUSE SHE IS A STRIPPING DRUGGIE LOLLZZZ'. I actually appreciate what Rent means, what it stands for. The triumph and tragedy Jonathan Larson went through which enabled him to create Rent. It annoys the hell out of me when I see people that saw the movie and are like, 'OMG LOLZ THEY ARE SO SILLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE AIDS AHAHAHA LIGHT MY CANDLE?!'. Oh. My. God. I just want to slap those kind of people over the head with the Rent bible everytime I hear someone like that.

I personally did not like the Rent movie. I've seen Wicked on broadway, and I liked it. If I never see it again, then so it be. The story is a little cheesy.
