I have heard so many rotten reviews of poor CRT's, that I'm just a little chicken to try it. BUT, I think it would be so neat to eat there. Give me a few good menu choices and I might get the guts to get a PS for dinner. I'll be going with DH, parents, and FIVE teenagers. I think they'd like it... princess: thanx in advance.

I honestly don't remember reading a lot of bad reviews for the lunch and dinner, I think the breakfast with the princesses is what gets hit and miss reviews. I ate dinner there many many moons ago, and don't recall much... but I have read good reviews on it, and it is a neat place to eat once!

I just ate there 3 weeks ago and all I can say about dinner there is AMAZING!! I had the Lobster and Shrimp Margerita as an appetizer and it was really good and the Fillet with veggies I had was just incredible! Don't worry you will really enjoy it! :earsgirl:

We ate there last year, and the food and service were both excellent.
We were a "difficult" table with 2 people with food allergies, and two vegetarians, and they handled it beautifully, explaining who could eat what.

We've eaten at the castle for lunch many times. We have never had a bad experience. In fact, one time my teenage son did not like his meal , so the server went back and scrounged up some chicken fingers for him and then proceeded to get down on her hands and knees to help search for the opal that had fallen out of DDs ring (she found it!) :cool1: Definitely go to Cindy's.

If you name ANY restaurant at WDW, there will be someone who hated their meal there. So I wouldn't worry too much. I've heard several people say they hate 'Ohana or Teppanyaki and they are my favorite restaurants.

I agree that you are bound to find people w/ different experiences, even the restuarant industry knows you can't please everyone all of the time! We had our first experience in 12/04, breakfast w/ Cindy! I didn't enjoy it at all:( The food was mediocre (sp?) and way overpriced. I LOVED the dinner at 1900 Park Fare, food was OUTSTANDING and we met characters specific to the Cinderella story, even Prince Charming!!! The storybook breakfast in Norway had the same princesses, w/ the exception of Mary Poppins, and a slightly better food selection. I think next time we go we'll do dinner at the Royal Table, I have heard the food is much better (I am a bit of a foodie and it counts big time ;) ) and I do love the novelty of eating in the castle! JMHO :flower:

We had dinner at the castle in 2001 and it was literally the BEST filet mignon I've ever had in my life. It was so tender it melted in your mouth! DH and DSs enjoyed their meals, too.

In 2002 we tried Le Cellier and I must've gotten a bad piece of meat or something but my filet mignon there was terrible. It wasn't tender at all and had no taste.

I think with most restaurants there can be an off night or an off meal, but over the years I've always read mostly very good reviews for the castle for lunch and dinner.

Go and enjoy, it's a lot of fun dining in the castle! princess:
