Our neighbor has now had 3 pitbulls. The first one the humane society took away because he wasn't taking care of it. The second one died unexpectedly and he dumped it's body in an empty field near by where all the neighborhood kids play, but that's a whole other rant. And now, he has a new one. He keeps them chained to a tree in the backyard with a bucket of water near by. His house falls in between mine and the house where my 2 DSs play everyday with the neighbor boy. I'm so scared that his pitbull is going to maul one of my kids. Keep in mind that these are not pets, more like abused animals. I feel sad for the dogs, especially the one that died unexpectedly. I can only guess as to why it died. I think it was only like 2 years old. We don't have a dangerous dog ordinance in our township so there's not much the authorities can do. I could report him if I saw that the new dog was being abused but other neighbors have done this and he has retaliated against them. He threatened one of my other neighbors that he was going to break into his house with a baseball bat and kill his dog. I don't need that either. Arrgh, I'm just so mad that he got another one. I was at least relieved when the other one died because I didn't have to worry about my kids going across the street to play anymore.
