This board is a place to share experiences and offer opinions. I come here to do exactly that and have no other agenda.

I doubt that seriously. You are a businessman and you DO have another insight. If you cannot get the intention of consumers, excuse us if we do not get the intention of retailers. For every informed shopper there are thousands of uninformed ones who make up that quota. I am the one shopper at the grocery store who buys exactly what's on sale while the person next to me was bamboozled to buy all of the fabulously displayed products intended to lure the person who only came in for one item.

I came here to share my experience with others and offer another alternative which I thought was a good one based on what I needed. I thought it could help someone else. Note your post immediately after mine. Do you consider that unintentional? I don't.

All I ask is that if you don't appreciate someone's choice, use the back button or the PM and keep your opinions to yourself.

Now you've got me confused. How can you say the community pool at Sunset Lakes is small ? What were you promised or what did you think you were going to get ?

The HOA Board did give consideration to a basketball net in the car park by the side of the pool as there really is nowhere else to put it. Unfortunately the homeowners decided against it.

I understand that teenagers need other entertainment and that Windsor Palms has the features that may suit them better.

Guys, this is in danger of getting off topic. Opinions are fine, and there are some strong ones on display here, but we do need to respect that opinions do differ. FLeisure obviously has a business perspective and it is one that I, personally, value quite highly. However, not everyone appreciates that perspective and it is important to allow things to go their own way sometimes.

Please accept my apologies for any ruffled feathers (I'm sure that was no-one's intention anyway), and let's get back to talking about Windsor Palms here.

Yes, I have a business perspective but that is secondary to my personal interest in the Disney area. After all, that's why I moved here ! Sometimes I get too enthusiastic and sometimes I argue my viewpoint too much ! Apologies.

If you take a look at the Celebration thread you'll see a great debate about moving to Florida. A great exchange of views was made and yes, it did get heated to an extent. However, we're all adults and I think we all learned a little more about the problems of moving to Florida as a result.

I thought this thread was of a similar nature and made a post in regard to price, that looking back, could offend. I realise that now and I'm sorry if anyone was offended.

I have posted this link before, but for those of you who are having trouble finding 3BR homes in Windsor Palms or the nearby area, the people we are renting from this month have a 4BR home in WP, but they will rent it as a 3BR if you promise to leave one bedroom untouched. So, you are getting 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms for a reduced price. It rents as a 4BR as the GingerMouse and as a 3BR called the CandyMouse, but it is actually the same house. We are renting it as a 3BR, and the owners are letting my daughter decide which bedroom she wants to use when we get there. We will just shut off the 4th one. Here's the link:

LDB, I found out about the 3 three bedrooms while searching www.vrbo.com

It's actually a marketing device.

Yes, we have used www.vrbo.com several times in Destin and have been very pleased. Another option is to go to:

This is not the "official" website for the resort but is a website featuring lots and lots of homes, villas, and condos available in the resort by the owners. There are pictures and lots of info. There are some 3BR available on this site as well, but you're right---not nearly as many. This site also has a link to a helpful availability calendar.

I was SUPPOSED to stay the end of this month but I got a TOO GOOD deal with a TUG member for the Sheraton Vistana resort for a week. My friend and his family will be staying at the townhouse. I'll make sure I get his review when we get back!
