Yum yum, the food and wine festival looks delicious! I would definitely like to try the shrimp, apple strudel, dragonberry drink, and lobster claw! The room service looks great too - I love that they still decorated the plates and everything, the desserts look beautiful.

The dining reviews look great so far! Were all the restaurants accommodating to your allergies? I have some too and I am pretty nervous about going to TS restaurants and not being able to eat anything.

It was so nice to stay in and relax. Next time we stay deluxe we'll do it again for sure!

That's right!! The Ropa Vieja was from the Caribbean kiosk. I hope it's there again this year!!

The restaurants are fantastic with allergies and pickiness. It will be great... just don't be afraid to ask!!

Darn life got in the way this week, lol. Imagine that! Working on the next post now!!

So after the wedding, a stop in the lounge, and a few chocolate covered strawberries, we didn't have a ton of time before dinner.... but we decided to go to AK anyway.

After AK, we went back to the room, changed and went up to the main building.

We checked in and were escorted up to the 15th floor, and were seated.

I want to pause to talk about our California Grill experience in May 2011. We visit CG every trip--it's a fave. Not only did we have terrible service, but my meal was sent back 3 times before I told them nevermind. DH was very upset in how the server spoke to me, we left before dessert and I got a pizza from Gasparilla's Grill at the GF. I was genuinely upset because my favorite restaurant let me down. I had planned to use the CG the night of my wedding and it was a huge disappointment to both of us. I kept it bottled for the most part, but wrote about it in a few posts here on the main forum. I was PM'd by someone who coaxed me to write a letter. I didn't really want to take it that far, but I realized I was still very upset about our experience. Guest Communications was great and they refunded the cost of our dining credits back to my Visa. I never expected that, but they were so nice, and venting did help--so we decided to give it another try... on our wedding night. If I wouldn't have written and recieved closure... I probably wouldn't have went back.

On with the show.

Our server was nice, started us with Iced Teas and my favorite sourdough bread! DH normally gets the Spicy Kazan Roll... but he threw me through a loop and got a flatbread. I got the BBQ chicken flatbread. Yum to both!!

For dinner he got the Filet just as it comes on the menu, and medium. He loved it, but it's just wayyyy beyond my palette.

I got it with no sauce, mac/cheese and crab risotto. That's 2 carbs... I know.. but I was curious about the risotto, and I LOVE their mac/cheese!! FANTASTIC! This is the restaurant that I remember!

We both got the dessert with the Peanut Butter Gelato. That stuff is love.

We couldn't have asked for a better meal on our wedding night. I'm so glad we gave them another chance. It really was an amazing meal. The best one of the trip--and in May... we have it on our itinerary TWICE!!

Congratulations! Wish I would have gotten married at WDW! Now, it's my dream for one or both of my daughters (who are currently 10mos and 3yrs) to have a BIG wedding there! Hey, I've got to start saving my money now, right?! (BTW, I think my sons should get married at Aulani! I'm sure I'll have a big say in it! )

Great dining review! I want to spend 48 hours at WDW with just my DH on my 40th birthday (next year.) We've done DxDDP even with our little kids, but we'll make a few different choices with just the 2 of us. (Like CG!)
