I'm Pregnant!!!!!

Great news! Congrats!

Didnt you want an excuse to change your car? Off to the People Carrier garage for you then!

The only thing that helped the morning sickness for me, was sipping lemonade through a straw! Honest! It worked! I only ever had it with DSs pregnancy, they say its worse if you are having a boy and it was certainly true in my case!

Will you be finding out the sex? We didnt for number 1 but did for number 2 (though I KNEW he was a boy almost from day 1!!!).

Once again, CONGRATS!!

Allie

No advice from me, as we have no kiddies yet. But, CONGRATULATIONS to you both. Graet news!!!

Great news Gems!!!

Was never really bothered with morning sickness with my two DS's - but I used to fall asleep at the drop of a hat for the first three months - after that I had loads of energy. Just make sure you take care of yourself, and enjoy it!!!

I don't think we will be finding out the sex, would like a surprise although that last 4 births in our families have all been boys so I am guessing that we will have a boy too - I don't really care as long as he/she is healthy.
..................As for the car - I will be changing it for sure now, just got to decide what to get, I test drove a Mini Cooper on Saturday which was lovely, but the boot was a tad small for the essentials!!

Congratulations Gems, hope the sickness passes soon.

Congratulations! Brings back lots of memories to me. Morning sickness is just the start. Wait till you can't see your feet and you have to go to the toilet at least 3 times a night. But being pregnant does have it's advantages, you get to have more room in the bed than he does and are able to manipulate him to do things much more easily without any of the serious nagging. Hope all goes well. :cheer2:

wondeful news, dont worry about the sickness, it usually goes about 16 weeks. Ginger snaps worked for me.

It'll be worth it though wont it?

Take care,
Janie

:thewave: Congratulations :Pinkbounc This happened to myself too. We got married in the october and thought it would be nice if i fell pregnant in about six months. A friend had told me that it would take around 6 months for my body to adjust from not being on the pill  Well by the beginning of december i was already pregnant :) DH was very shocked and he made me do about 5 test over 2 days to be sure and then he had me straight to the doctors. The doctor told me that because i had come off the pill i may of ovulated twice in one month :rolleyes2 Making it easy for me to fall pregnant :Pinkbounc

Again for the sickness i lived on ginger biscuits for the 1st 3 months. After that it went away. The tiredness just comes with your body changing. I was put on iron tablets at about 7 months.

Keep us updated with all the news :Pinkbounc

Teach your husband how to paint your toenails now! The time will come when you can't see them and then he'll have to do it!
Congratulations.

Congtratulations!!

I really do hope the morning sickness passes - heaven knows why it's called morning sickness!! Mine lasted all blooming day....YUK. And the amount of people that told me it would pass at about 12 weeks......NOT! I suffered all through.....even in labour I was being sick! SORRY!!! Hopefully yours will pass soon!

Dispite the sickness I loved being pregant and missed my "bump"!!....towards the end you really feel like Donald Duck with the waddling!!

Enjoy :)

Congratulations. Nothing to do with morning sickness but I would advise that you join the National Childbirth Trust ("NCT" - see www.nct.org.uk) it will be really helpful for you and DH, and the couples you meet at their ante-natal classes will provide you with a real support group - not to mention endless coffee mornings. Good luck and best wishes.

Congratulations, wonderful news.

No advice on the sickness from me either I’m afraid, I was very ill with both my DDs and nothing I tried worked, got so I was terrified to leave the house couldn’t face any more embarrassing episodes of regurgitation! but luckily it stopped after 16 weeks with the first and 12 weeks with the second. The good news was that once the sickness and tiredness passed I felt great and sailed through both pregnancies from then on.

Really pleased for you and your husband. :flower:

Congratulations.

This is a MUST!! ;)
Just remember - don't be using a foot spa!! At 37 weeks with first DS, I decided to use it one night as my feet were feeling a bit neglected. Next morning, my waters broke and I went into labour!!! Not bothering to read the warnings about triggering labour!!

Congrats that is such good news! :flower:

I have no advice on the 'morning' sickness that hasn't already been offered (nothing worked for me and I ended up on medication and in bed! - I'm hoping yours won't come to that!!) except to say that it does wear off eventually.

Make the most of being fussed over and the centre of attention before junior arrives and steals the limelight.

Well Done - I'm very happy for you.
