When you make reservations do you need to clarify there's a person in a wheelchair? Logistically, I could see this could be a problem in some restaurants. I don't want issues once we are there. Please help.

Not when you make the reservation. Tables are not actually assigned until you get there. However, when you check in at the podium is when to let them know. This way they can be sure to assign a table that is reasonably easy to get to. And when getting to the podium, use the magic words of "unable to transfer".

Thanks for this post.
I was wondering about this too. (Just made our ADRs for Dec) Jack is also unable to transfer. We sometimes have issues with table height but I guess there's not much we can do about that.

I did mention it when making our reservations. The only time someone seem to notice it was at Liberty Tree (MK)...when we checked in she said she saw in the computer that someone was in a wheelchair so they would get us a table on the ground floor, but I didn't get the impression that they were saving the table for us ahead of time. Either way, you still end up waiting a few minutes. But we've eaten at many restaurants and never really had any big problems.

It does make a difference at the Spirit of Aloha and the Hoop de Doo. They need to assign certain areas for wheelchair using guests.

We always mention it when we make the ADR, because as was mentioned, there are some situations where there are 2 floor levels and only a certain number of seats are accessible. The ones mentioned are dinner shows, so it is important because there are only a certain number of accessible seats for each show.
For the non-dinner shows, it's most important to remind the CM about it when you check in. As was mentioned, the tables for the 'non-show' restaurants are assigned as you check in.
Thanks for this post.

That reminds me of a funny story.
We went to the table service restaurant in China at WS. When DD drove her wheelchair up to the table, it was too low and her wheelchair was just a tiny bit too high to fit. We took 2 menus (book kind) under the table legs on our side of the table. It made the table tilt toward the other side, but at least she could get her wheelchair up to the table and we could eat.
