I'm on the waitlist but am I doing this the best way?

I have reservations for 5 nights at OKW at the end of May in a studio. I am on the automatic waitlist for a standard view studio for BWV.

Ideally I would like the entire stay to be at BWV, but am open to a few nights at each, so I figured I would do the waitlist thing for the entire stay and then call every couple of days to check individual night availability. When I call MS, they act like I am very confused. "You know you are on the waitlist, right?" "They will call you if something opens up". To which I explain "Yes I am on the automatic waitlist for the entire stay (so they won't call me right - I will just be automatically reserved), but I wanted to see if I could get even 1 or 2 nights at BWV.".

Am I going about this the best way? Should I just ignore the rude CMs and keep calling? And, at what point does the waitlist end (I think I read 30 days prior which is only 2 weeks from now).

We really like OKW and just stayed there in March. We own at BWV and haven't yet gotten the chance to stay there, which is why I am on a mission here.

There is nothing wrong with calling each day and seeing if you can add-day by day. I would just ignore the CM. Once you have a few days it will be easier to add the other's.
