I'm on strike! UPDATE post 24

Hope I can figure out the poll part!

I'm on strike. I refuse to do any housework or yardwork until the others I live
with decide to help out in some way, shape or form. My downfall is going to be the dog hair tumbleweed or the red funky stuff in the tub, but I'm going to hold out as long as possible.

How long do you think I'll last? Oh, and by the way, DBF and I both work FULL TIME, and DS14 is perfectly able to help out.

It's not an option on your poll, but I vote that you only do the stuff that really bothers/impacts you. Definitely don't do anyone's laundry -- your BF and DD will start to notice when they have to turn their underwear inside-out!

Here's a for you!

There've been several days when I've felt like going on strike against DH, but since we have two young kids, most of the stuff I would want to stop doing would impact the tots, so it's a non-starter. I just have to wait until until the kids get bigger before I can make a stand, I guess.

So far it seems people think my willpower will give out by the end of the weekend. That's okay -- it's still 3 more days of doing nothing!

Oh yeah, and I fully intend to do my OWN laundry!

I voted for the weekend not because you don't have the willpower to go til the end of the month, but because by Sunday, you'll be so sick of looking at the dirty laundry on the floor, the dishes piled up in the sink, the general slobiness of your house that you'll want to clean it up regardless if you're on strike or not.

I've done the strike thing too... refused to do any housework, cook, clean, etc etc. I lasted 2 weeks before the boys (yes, that includes the big boy) came back pleading!

Like Sherry says, have a drink while you're waiting!

If I knew, I'd tell you -- my guess is some kind of soap slime.

Actually, this has been sort of going for 2 weeks. The last time I cleaned cleaned (bathroom, mopped floors, changed sheets, dusted) was 2 weeks ago when I was on vacation. Since then, I've only vacuumed maybe 4 times. I think it's getting to me, which is why I posted the poll. Need willpower!

Dishes and stuff are clean -- thanks to the dishwasher. That's the one thing DS14 does do. I also washed my sheets because they smelled like dog. The floors, dusting, bathroom, lawn, etc. are still waiting though...
