Okay, we figured out that she can still post using her name on my thread, she just can't start her own thread..so I've moved her update further down under her own name again! Hooray!

Amanda, I am livid that she can't post under her own ID, she was posting on her MOM's PTR for goodness sakes. That is utterly ridiculous. Is there any way you can email them and tell them you helped her set up the account and knew all about it?

Honestly, I would have thought they would bear that in mind before banning her from posting. I'm sure it's a legal thing on their end, I honestly just didn't feel like the hassle of printing out and signing forms to fax to them when I look over everything before she posts it, and she's posting on my thread. We realized they had caught on when she tried to start her own thread and a little security thing popped up saying to contact the administrator. I can understand it, in a way, but it's still a pita. If I email them I know they're just going to go on again about ppwk, and how it's for her own protection..blah blah blah. It's just easier to circumvent the whole deal.

Okay, apparently she just can't start her own thread..so we'll let her do her own updates on this one. Not as bad as I thought, but still somewhat irritating.

After being up later than I intended the night before we left..I think it was about 1:30 am before I hit the hay..I have to admit 6:00 am came a bit early! Our flight didn't leave until 11:15, but with Piper's meds, and the limo picking us up at 8:45 at Gram's, there was no sleeping in. Waking Piper up was very easy..as soon as she heard the words "leaving for Disney" she was up and out in a flash! 90 minutes later, we were on the road, myself thinking that for once I had actually remember everything..of course, the big note on the back of the front door may have helped a bit. Being the productive, non-procrastinating woman that I am : I had put most of the luggage in the jeep the night before. We rolled through Hardee's, a local fast food joint, for cinnamon raisin biscuits and blueberry biscuits, and hit Gram's around 8:00.

Now, I had not heard anything from the limo company, and Grams is not the easiest place to find..so after debating for a few minutes, I called the company. The woman who answered was very nice, and very glad I called. MAW had not given them a phone number for us, and so the limo driver had left early. She said she would call him and give him the directions to Gram's. Not 5 minutes later he called and said.."I'm here, but I don't want you to rush..take your time and do what you need to do." So we sat and enjoyed our biscuits, myself feeling slightly guilty the poor man was out there waiting for us, and trying to fend the guilt off. I went out to take our bags out of Jeepie, and he immediately sprang from the limo to help. His name was Jesse, and he was so sweet..he gave me "the look" when I got the second bag out of jeepie, and I said "I'm sorry, I'm just used to doing this kind of stuff myself.." He immediately said something to the effect of "Well, that's why I'm here honey..you just relax." I'm not one to be offended by things like being called honey..being a good semi-southern girl, I tend to call people "hon" myself quite frequently.

Piper was all excited when she looked out Gram's window and saw the limo..particularly when she saw it was not the run of the mill black one..here's a pic of Piper and Jesse...she had given him some candy, and he thought that was just the sweetest!

I told Piper to watch out the window and see how many people looked while we were on the road, and we were all laughing, as sure enough, all of our area's redneck best were trying hard to see in the window of the limo as were driving along. Piper loved it and got lots of practice doing her "parade wave".

So we hit the airport at about 9:15..which would ordinarily be fine, but considering this is a small, regional airport, was a bit tooooo early. There was no one manning the check-in desk, and the poor woman looked at us like we were nuts when she did come out! People didn't start flooding in until about 10:00. We all did the potty stop thing, made it through security (of course with all my carry-ons being throughly inspected..this always happens to us because of her meds and her neb compressor), and soon it was time to board the plane. We were on a puddle jumper to Charlotte, and the rows have 2 seats..the aisle, and another 2 seats. Piper and I sat together, and some man took Mom's seat so she was at the window with him between us. It wasn't his assigned seat, and he made quite the commotion when another man assigned to that row came to claim his seat. The stewardess ended up asking the man supposed to sit there to sit somewhere else. It was a bit irritating that the man wouldn't move when it was obvious the three of us were together..we were even wearing matching shirts..geez. That's okay though..I just made sure I had plenty of questions for Mom, and that we needed to pass LOTS of paperwork back and forth

It was pretty funny..as soon as she felt the wheels pick up from the tarmac, she launched into a rousing chorus of "I Believe I Can Fly"..I think everyone within 5 rows ahead and behind us started laughing! That's my girl....

Coming up next time..."I'm stuck at security..I need you to come down here!"

The biscuits were yummy..the blueberry ones were for Piper, too sweet for me first thing in the am! The airport only has 4 gates, and maybe 20 flights out a day! I am one for being early rather than late, but this was just toooooo early..lol.

He was very sweet! We loved him and were very happy to find out he would be meeting us when we got home as well..I forgot to mention that! I don't know why I didn't get a pic of her when she saw the limo..I think because it would have been a hard angle with where the kitchen window was. She was very excited it was a white stretch..fit for a princess....

I have to admit, the time in the airport did pass quickly because we were all so excited. It was also nice seeing people's smiles as they noticed our shirts. The man on the plane was one of the only downers to the whole trip, which is pretty remarkable in and of itself.
