I'm new! Lime green???

So my very DBFF is getting married to her DF in September in Epcot. He actually proposed to her in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle on our last trip to Disneyland!

So my DBF and I are taking our first trip together to WDW. I am sooo excited because it will also be our anniversary there. I always thought that my DBFF and I were the only crazy ones who made spreadsheets and millions of phone calls and watched Disney DVDs while shopping for airfare. WE ARE NOT ALONE!

I need suggestions. We've both been there before, but never together.

Most importantly, I am really curious about the lime green! Explain please!

From what I understand, the DIS picked lime green as a color a while back so they could recognize one another in the Parks. Many members collect lime green shirts and lime green paint sample cards from Home Depot--the Disney paints have a Mickey head with the color on the card. Folks use them to tag luggage or put in the window of the resort. Have fun getting limed....

I'm pretty sure you can only get them at Home Depot because they carry the Disney line of paint. I think the Disney paint is actually a Behr paint, only available at HOme depot. So the lime green mickey heads (LGMH's) are actually the paint sample cards you can pick up in the store. They are actually shaped like Mickey heads and the color name is alien green.

Lime is THE COLOR of the "Dis" and the Lime Green Mickey Heads( LGMH)
can ONLY be Gotten at Home Depot. And some of them stay out because of us "Dis'er" taking them all. I have heard they are going to be phasing that Paint line out along with the LGMH but that is only a rumor I heard.

There are Lime Green "lanyards" that can be gotten for 3.00( I think) from a lady here on the forum named "englishrose 47"

The Lime usually is a sign that a person is a "Dis-er" but not always
A LOT of us wear "croc's" and you can get them in Lime Green as well.

Oh.. You can laminate the LGMH and put your "Dis" name on it.. to FURTHER help us locate you in the parks. Just attach it to a lanyard or a backpack or fanny pack.

Decorate your room window with them.. and include your Dis-name on them .

Now the Official LGMH is called "alien green" but if you can not find the right color.. the next color up will also work.

Lime green is also a GREAT color to put kids in so they are easier to keep track of in the parks!

Well since you asked, I have MNSSHP questions too. I am going with my DBF. Just the two of us. No kids. Worth it? I read that the fireworks and parades are wonderful. But is it worth over a hundred dollars for two adults to attend?

I will not say you would not like it... but you would enjoy the whole thing better with kids.
If it was just me and my Dh or DBF I would say skip it.

i was wondering about the lime green too...

and BTW, we were at Home Depot sunday and I saw the mickey heads and went nuts. I took one in every color and DH was like WTH?

DS2 thinks they are his now....i need to get back to HD.

Oh My Gosh, you are NOT alone. I will be spreadsheeting, planning the itinerary...visiting the Disboards until the night we leave...on and on!

We cleaned out ALL the Mickey heads in Hamilton, Ohio. I asked my family and friends to get me a few evreytime they went since several of them either live by one or are always repairing something at their house well 3 months later I have Lots and have several projects planned for them.
1.to make lime green Mickey Head buttons to wear on our trip in Dec.
2. to also decorate our back packs so every Dis'er will recognise us
3.also I am making a Mickey head (green/red ones) wreath to hang in our window
4. making a Mickey head poster board to hang on door for other Dis'ers to sign
5.Also adding them to my Disney folder containing my info for Disney trip
6.Also made some Thank you and tip envelopes using them.

I'm not done yet I know there are many more things I can do with them.
BTY...my dear hubby thinks I'm crazy too but he will bring me back after every trip he makes in a Home Depot
