I still had a great day! Off Kilter was playing at the NJ Irish Festival, so I took the day off from work to go see them play. It rained most of the morning, but cleared up just before they started to play. I wound up selling merchandise for them in a mud puddle (BAD placement of the merchandise table!), and as a result, my feet and lower legs were caked in mud. I'm running a load of laundry now in hopes of taking care of the mud stains in my socks/pants. Plus I was already wet from the rain that morning, so I got home feeling pretty miserable/soggy.

The good news is that the show was great!! I didn't get to see most of it because the merchandise table was so busy, but I got to hear it all. If you can ever see OK play outside WDW, it's totally worth it to go. What a great day!

Where did they play? - Sorry for the crummy day

They played at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. When will all this rain end?!?!

Ok, the big question is...what did ya get for working the merchandise table?

sorry the day was yucky but I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves!:)

When we were in WDW, everytime we passed Off Kilter I thought of you! :teeth:

Thanks, WDWfanatic288! They're a great group to watch, and they're highly addictive. :)

I didn't get anything from doing the merchandise table besides a hug and a thank you from each of the band members. Jamie (bagpipes) offered me something, but I told him no - for some strange reason, I actually enjoy missing the show to sell their merchandise. :) Thinking about it, I should have told him that I wanted a new pair of shoes in return; my sneakers will be drying out for days!

I think when a women is wet and muddy its kind of sexy, you know if you would have wrestled another women people would have paid you

Only you, Jason.

How cool!!!!!!!! I would have volunteered to help them out too!

Good Luck with the laundry. Yikes!!

I know how much you love Off Kilter, Debi. So, I'm sure you enjoyed the day even though you got wet and muddy :)

Hi-My daughter and I were also there, I was glad I wore flip flops, my feet wash easier than sneakers do. I'm sorry I didn't know who you were, I would've said hello. My daughter bought 2 cd's and a t-shirt. We had an awesome time, the show was great. My daughter said the bib you gave Randy for his baby was really cute. Hope your sneakers dry out soon!!!!

Sherry, Randy and I have an ongoing joke about watermelon (all started from Mary Mac), so when I saw that bib, I bought it in a heartbeat. I have been watching them play for a while now, but I rarely see them play outside WDW. It's great to see them when they're not in their Disney mood; they're more free to be themselves, if that makes sense. :)

Debster, at the end of the day yesterday, I was semi-wishing I hadn't volunteered to do merchandise. My feet were so wet and soggy that I didn't want to see another drop of rain or mud puddle for quite a long time. :) Seriously, I did merchandise for them last year, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I had a great time talking to many other OK fans, and I really had a blast. I'm hoping they'll be back again next year!

Debi--if they come back to your neck of the woods next year, you let me know, and I will be your partner in crime! I think NJ is about as close as they will get to Mass.

I did a 2 and a half day solo trip in April, and on one of the days caught 4 out of their 5 shows. And kept thinking "Debi from the DIS would be so proud of me". I even met up w/ Trekker and his family at one of the shows (purely by accident).

debster, I'll definately let you know when/if they come back. They were definately one of the more popular groups at the festival yesterday, so I'm hoping that they'll be back next year. Keep those fingers crossed! :)

I am so JEALOUS! I heard them play for the first time a couple weeks ago. We were just walking up as they were playing their last song of the . I really wish I could have caught a whole show! But, we were only at Epcot for the day. It is definitely a
must see the next time around.

flrose, make sure to check their website (www.offkilter.net) to see if they're playing at an Irish/Scottish festival near you! :)
